How do you test a frigidaire thermostat / heater

A frost free refrigerator must defrost itself.
it appears that you have a bad component in the defrost system. first try to advance the defrost time into "defrost cycle" if it start to defrost, replace the timer, if not, replace defrost heater and thermostat.

My Admiral mullion is hot

Probably the defrost element has failed, ice & frost will continue to build up & it's ability to cool will deminish over time. Has to be checked & possibly replaced.

We have a Admiral Top Freezer Refrigerator Model#

sounds like a defrost problem. if the freezer section gets too much frost build up then it wont be able to move air into the refr section. check to see if you have "heavy" frost in the freezer and if so then a defrost thermostat or a defrost control board may be you problem.

Fridge working but freezer not

I believe what is happening is your freezer is not defrosting properly and your auto damper is opening just enough to keep the temperatures safe on the fresh food side. look into freezer and the rear wall. Is frost building up on the rear wall? If ye then this is a defrost issue and you will need to unplug and manually defrost with a hair dryer. Don't be afraid to remove the rear panel in freezer so you can see just what happens when defrost is not taking place. I think it is possible that you have a model LSD2615HEW but you will need to confirm before asking for parts. Inside the fresh food compartment and behind the control panel the model LSD2615HEW for example only has a Click Here=> 12002495 Adaptive Defrost Control Board I say example only because I had to assume your model number. This board is the most likely reason for this problem. Sometimes you may see burn marks on one side of board but not always. Click Here for location=> LSD2615HEW Controls and part 12 in photo is the ADC or 12002495 Adaptive Defrost Control Board The only other cause will; be a defective defrost heater or defrost thermostat. The defrost heater is=> 67004188 Defrost Heater Assembly testing of the defrost heater is also in a short tutorial on this same page. Then finally it is always a good idea to replace the defrost thermostat while inside replacing the defrost heater if need. Part number for the defrost thermostat is=> 67004757 Defrost Thermostat and can be found here=> LSD2615HEW Freezer Components If you have any questions I will be here to answer them for you, If helpful please rate this solution, Thank You, Sea Breeze

1999 Frigidaire Refrigerator

Check rear wall of freezer by feel for frost. Heavy, even frost indicates likely problem in the defrost system. Unplug unit. Defrost heater (in freezer behind rear wall panel), defrost thermostat (same area-must be checked at freezer temperature) or Defrost timer-located lower back outside of unit. Near compressor. Do continuity test on heater and defrost thermostat and if they show continuity (good), replace defrost timer. If not, replace the one that tests bad.

Defrost coils fully. Reassemble.

Please let me know if I have helped with comments and rating.

Refrigerator will work about 7-10 days after being defrosted until thick frost builds up again cutting off air flow to both compartments

Admiral upright freezer dripping water inside on top

Hello.
I can help. Once we notice anything different from before we start becoming more aware of small variations. Regarding things on the top shelf warmer than on the bottom, this is always true because, "warm air rises and cold air falls". If you want the top shelf colder turn the thermostat to the next colder setting, always a good idea in the Summer season anyway.

Even though your gasket looks good, a ten year old gasket is not as pliable as a new one resulting in the moisture problem you describe. I would begin by applying a thin coating of vaseline to the gasket once a week for a month. This little trick of the trade will often work. If it doesn't improve the situation do replace the gasket.

Refrigerator not cooling

unplug appliance, melt ice on back of freezer, remove panel rear of freezer, find leads to defrost heater and test with a multimeter, if you have condinuity replace defrost termostat, if no condinuity replace defrost heater. after removing panel you will have to melt ice in rear with heat gun before testing.

Admiral side by side fridge defrosted and no longer cooling

Replace the compressor start relay.
If this does not solve the problem you most likely have a bad compressor.
Your fridge may be under a 5 year compressor warranty.

Frig is not working properly inside the frig is warm every thing is defrosing

the drain hose is blocked more than likely frozen, you have to defrost the freezer, a hair blower on low will help, put two bowls in your fridge on the top rack one on left one on the right put them towards the back to catch water as it drains, keep defrosting till you here water run down the tube into the pan under the fridge youll hear it.rember aim the hairblower to the back of the freezer on the bottom,or let it defrost by itself for a day,but its not done till you hear water hit the pan,not the water defrosting in the fridge
