Question about Canon MultiPASS F50 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

I have Windows XP and want to use Canon Multipass F50 printer. I have downloaded the print drivers from the Canon website. My system is recognizing the Canon Inkjet BJ S630 . I was given instruction to place the printer in printer mode, press menu, copy, scan and set twice. Each time when trying to print, I receive an "error" message in the print queue. Please HELP!!!

Are you sure you downloaded the right drivers, and the one's needed for your OS? Please check the canon link here. I would try reinstalling them just because your system is seeing the wrong printer to begin with.
The error message in the print queue can be troubleshot by using the windows help & support print troubleshooter (available from control panel>printers & faxes> printing troubleshooter) or using the windows event viewer to see what error code is reported and tracing the cause of the error that way...
Frequently in such a case uninstalling the printer drivers and installing them again will correct the difficulty...also see this MS link.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

Canon f80 multipass New five years ago never

Are you using Windows Vista or Windows 7? If so, the driver download page at Canon does not provide drivers beyond XP. Otherwise, go back to the XP (or earlier versions) driver downlaod site and download the MultiPASS F80 Software User's Guide. That may provide the answer to your problem. Also, if you are using unpopular, proprietary software programs the driver may not recognize the commands. Good Luck!

Need drivers to install in vista program

Canon does not support Vista at this time.
But you can set your MultiPASS to print only mode in which case it will be recognized as another model printer and you'll get basic printer function.
Press the buttons in this order. Menu-Scan-Copy-Set-Set
Restart you computer and it will recognize the printer as Canon BJ S630 This should provide basic print functions.

I have an xp system, and my printer is a canon(2001)

Go to the Canon website for the C555. Here you have to select your operating system, including XP, to download the drivers needed. You can also get the manual, setup guide and brochure. There is also a Multipass Suite for XP.

Good Luck

Canon multipass F50 cannot get machine to print from my xp laptop

Normal 0 Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

Please don't take out my answer on my rankings. I just pass on what I know. Microsoft-certified Windows Vista drivers are not available for the MultiPASS product you are inquiring about. However, you may be able to install an emulation driver and set the machine to Printer Mode that will allow use of your product as a printer in Windows Vista. If you decide to use the Printer Mode function, please be aware that the instructions and support are provided as is and Canon does not guarantee compatibility or print results.
Note:
  • To print using Printer Mode, the printer must be connected via a parallel port connection. A USB to parallel port connection is not recommended.
  • Installing the emulation driver for your product will provide print functionality only. The scan and MultiPASS F50 fax driver, as well as the MultiPASS Desktop Manager and Toolbar, will not be installed and are not available in any Windows Vista environment.
If you need or want an emulation driver I can help. Sorry, please don't rate me bad for news. If you need more help on this just add a comment and I'll be there!!
