; 0. The term "filter" is used in this INF to refer to an NDIS IM driver that
; implements a 1:1 relationship between upper and lower bindings.
; 1. Items specifically required for a filter have been marked with
    ; "!!--Filter Specific--!!" keyword
; 2. In general a filter DOES NOT require a notify object for proper installation.
; A notify object is only required if one wants to have better control
; over binding operations or if one wants to receive notifications
; when other components get installed/removed/bound/unbound.
; Since Windows 2000 systems do not have support for CopyINF directive,
; a notify object is required to programmatically copy the miniport INF
; file to the system INF directory. Previous versions of this INF file
; erroneously used to copy the INF files directly by using the CopyFiles
    ; directive.
; On Windows XP, you can install a filter IM without a notify object.
; by following the instructions in (4).
; 3. If you want to use this INF file with your own IM driver, please
    ; make the following modifications:
    ; File netsf.inf
    ; --------------
    ; a. In section [SourceDiskFiles] and [wsimd.Files.Sys]
; change wsimd.sys to the name of your own driver binary.
; b. In section [wsimd.ndi.AddReg], change values of
; BindForm and MiniportId to appropriate values.
    ; File netsf_m.inf
    ; ----------------
; a. Replace MS_wsimdMP with InfId of your miniport.
    ; b. In section [wsimdMP.AddService],
    ; change ServiceBinary appropriately.
    ; c. In section [wsimdMP.ndi.AddReg],
; change "wsimd" in the line having "Service"
; to reflect the appropriate name

My system model no is Aspire5735 rating 3.1windows experience index intel(R) core (TM)2DUo cp t5900 2.20Ghz not showing the wireless option its showing unknown connection

This sounds like a issue with the enable/disable feature that controls your wireless card. I would suggest checking to make sure the card is fully enabled in windows. It could also be entering the wrong Wireless Password connection. You would need to verify this information with your router. Also I would check the MAC information to make sure this information matches with the router. I hope this helped.

Sounds like your wireless is disabled.

If your using windows xp, check the following.
Go to your start menu
go to your control panel (might be under settings, might not.)
from control panel, if it says "Choose a Category" click switch to classic view.
open your Network Connections Icon.
If "Wireless Network Connection" is grayed out, right click it and choose, "Enable."

In Windows Vista
Go to the bottom right hand corner of your screen to the icons.
Right click on the double monitors (network connection)
Select Network and Sharing Center
Click on Open Network Connections
If "Wireless Network Connections:" is grayed out, right click it and choose, "Enable."

If it is enabled, and you already have wireless built in to your laptop, then it's possible the wrong wireless card is enabled. If this is the case, when you open your network connections, you will have two Wireless Network Connection Icons.
A Wireless Network Connection, and a Wireless Network Connection 2. Make sure 2 is enabled, and the first one without a number is disabled.

Let me know if this helps.

Wireless LAN problem

Make sure that the built-in wireless lan is disabled. If your pc is XP or vista, uninstall the new WIRELESS LAN(go to control panet, add/remove programs), select the Atheros Software. Leave the WIRELESS ADAPTER connected to your pc. Insert the disc, do not run the set up. RESTART THE PC. The drivers for the WIRELESS ADAPTER should install, if not load drivers manually.
MAKE SURE WIRELESS ZERO CONFIGURATION for XP is running. You should be able to detect wireless networks.
