Hitacho 60V500A that just stopped working

I have a Hitacho 60V500A that just stopped working,. It has no picture and seems to have no sound. Indicator power light does come on. My first stepp will be to replace the bulb. Though I don't believe this will result in a complete fix since I don't believe the sound would stop working as a result of a blown bulb. Does anyone doscumentation that can take me through the procedure for identifying the root problem,

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: rastor needs adjustment on 60v500a

Enter the I2C Service Menu, be sure the power is OFF.
1. On the front control panel, press and hold the INPUT button.
2. Then press the POWER button for two seconds.
3. You may keep the INPUT button depressed until you see the OSD with the Service Menu displayed.
4. If you don't see the service menu, please repeat Process making sure you wait until the Power blinking LED stops.
5. Execute the Memory Initialize operation after the adjustment values have been written on a sheet of paper. Highlight “MEMORY INTI”, arrow to the right and hold the button to the right (approx 5 sec.) until a check mark appears in the box. This activates the Memory Initialization.
6. After the Memory initialize operation has finished (10~15 sec, the channel will revert to CH 3.) the pink image symptom should be fixed.
7. Write back the adjustment values from your notes to their respective adjustment parameters in the adjustment mode. (In other words, set the Data Values back to the the Data values written down before the Memory Initialization procedure). NOTE: Make sure the SELECT Button is pressed on remote after every change to the values. Failure to do so will result in the data values not being changed.
8. Exit I2C menu. Press exit repeatedly until you go back to the normal picture.
9. Turn the set off-on and Confirm the picture remains in a good condition.
BE SURE TO COPY DOWN DATA SETTINGS BEFORE INITIALIZING I2C SETTINGS

Remove the lamp cartridge and make sure the wiring is secure, if ok then reinstall, slowly and carefully making sure the lamp is seated correctly, do all this while the tv is unplugged - of course, also make sure the all the covers on the tv are securely installed or the tv will not power up. good luck

If you look inside the lamp compartment, it has a switch. Even though the door is closed, it is very easy to miss the switch. Ensure that the door is hitting the switch when you close it. There are 2 slender scale kind of strips that are responsible for triggering the switch. If they are hitting the switch, then manual turn the lamp switch on and off to see if the switch changes the LED pattern at the front.Let me know what are your observations so that I can suggest what to try next.

No sound and no picture

The green indicator merely lets you know that power is getting to your TV. The absence of picture and sound could be due to power supply failure

I have no picture. the power light and the lamp light stay on all the time. you can't turn it out unless you unplug it. could this be the lamp? it's a hitachi 60v500a 60inch projection hdtv

was the set worked on lately? And also have you ever changed the lamp? The first thing I would replace is a C958 (100uf/35v) Capacitor.

Lamp light on after i replaced the blown lamp Hitachi 60v500a

Was the tv working before you replaced the lamp? if it was then make shure you have reinstalled the new lamp and the door exactly as removed, there is a disconect switch on the door that has to close when the door is reinstalled,or sometimes the ballast may go bad at the same time.Hope tha t will help you fix it.

Power light is on but no picture or sound

It seems that your unit has some sort of PSU fault, or a problem that is shutting down the Power Supply Unit, PSU. This happens so that no further damage, and possible fire will occur.
You need to take the unit to a reputable service centre/man and ask for a firm "Quote" for the work to be done.

Sony FWD50PX2/S 50 in. Plasma Television power problem

It does sound like a power supply problem but that can be misleading because a problem somewhere else in the TV can be "holding down" the power supply. This can usually be determined by using some isolation techniques.
