I replaced the valve. Pilot burning as it was with the new valve. Boiler won't fire and generate heat. Where do I look next/.
SOURCE: fault light flashing 1 flash per second
Prior to writing the above fault I had asked the owner to turn the boiler temp controller , for the heating side, down just a fraction . I was phoned this morning to tell me that the boiler had stayed on allnight with no fault light . After consulting with the plumber who fitted the system it appears that there might not be a room stat ,

Check all your limit switches on this unit. One of them is either tripped or bad.

I bet your thermo couple is bad or your ports are clogged? How old is the unit?
SOURCE: Pilot goes out after heat cycle, relight and it
This sounds like a dirty pilot jet orifice or a weak thermocouple. The pilot orifice can carbon up (natural gas is a fossil fuel), become weak and keep going out whenever the main burner lights, which causes a pressure drop in the gas line. The thermocouple can also become dirty and not sense properly.
The pilot light assembly should be cleaned. The gas must be turned off and it's best if the pilot assembly can be removed. Automotive carb cleaner can be used to clean the orifice. Do not try to insert any object into the pilot orifice valve as this can result in damage.
If cleaning does not resolve the problem, replace the thermocouple first. Make sure it is installed correctly and is squarely in the pilot flame.

first off ensure water is getting to boiler, next, No pilot = pressure switch. On my baxi solo 40 pf pressure switch is replaced 8-10 times a year cures your problems,,,,,,,, momentarily , and have had all your other parts, but with no effect to speak of,.......sorry............ solution = [ change boiler ].sounds like gas pressure or lack of water to system or **** boiler like mine .........good luck.
