Try bleeding the gas line to the valve. They are always full of air after a valve replacement. BE CAREFUL!!!!!!!!!!!! Gas is explosive!!!! Does the valve "click" when the stat calls for heat? If not, check the wiring.

SOURCE: fault light flashing 1 flash per second

Prior to writing the above fault I had asked the owner to turn the boiler temp controller , for the heating side, down just a fraction . I was phoned this morning to tell me that the boiler had stayed on allnight with no fault light . After consulting with the plumber who fitted the system it appears that there might not be a room stat ,

SOURCE: Pilot goes out after heat cycle, relight and it

This sounds like a dirty pilot jet orifice or a weak thermocouple. The pilot orifice can carbon up (natural gas is a fossil fuel), become weak and keep going out whenever the main burner lights, which causes a pressure drop in the gas line. The thermocouple can also become dirty and not sense properly.

The pilot light assembly should be cleaned. The gas must be turned off and it's best if the pilot assembly can be removed. Automotive carb cleaner can be used to clean the orifice. Do not try to insert any object into the pilot orifice valve as this can result in damage.

If cleaning does not resolve the problem, replace the thermocouple first. Make sure it is installed correctly and is squarely in the pilot flame.

Boiler on hot water radiator system wont work

This is both a complex and dangerous system. There are many factors which can cause this. I will need more information. I will ask some basic questions... Was the thermostat changed out with the a/c unit or does it have a separate one? Did the gas valve get shut off? Did the breaker get shut off? Is the water on? They have low water lockouts. 99% of the time, it is where work was done. Did they hook up the stat correctly and establish the proper type of heat on the stat? Is the circulation pump on? Is the flame control board reset tripped? Leave feedback and we can go from there.

Gas water heater: burner doesn't fire, replaced gas control valve

Hello,Don't worry about the rust flakes as every burner collects then and is normal. The new control should click. Please check incoming gas pressure supply 3.5"WC natural gas / 9"WC for LP.Check it at the piolt tube with a pressure dial meter,I assume the water temp now is cold.Did you change the thermocouple also as this provides the power to run the control?

Pilot light won`t stay burning on my hot water tank. I replaced the thermacoupler;no difference. It is a Rheem Gauardian system ''Fury''. 40 gal in a wellsite skid trailer. Thanks

The thermocouple is a screw in type or 2 wire. You can check the dc MILI volt output with a multimeter. It should probably make 500-750miliVDC when heated. Be sure no plastic from the thermocouple wrapper was on the threads, will not work like that. To light did you push and hold the valve for 30 sec after lighting the pilot then turn to run after the pilot was burning? There is a slight chance the gas valve is bad but not likely. Check the wireing on the thermocouple to the gas valve.

My boiler will not fire up the pilot light is on, the thermostat clicks when asking for heat but boiler will not go on. What could be the problem ?

Best case, the gas selector switch is set to the pilot position. Rotate it to the full open position to allow the boiler to fire. If it is already in the normal operating position, you will probably need to replace the gas valve.
