Question about Activision Guitar Hero II for Xbox 360 Multimedia Controller
Right when the game starts, the guitar controller is scrolling through the menu without being touched. This continues throughout gameplay. Is there a way to fix this problem with the strum button?
My guitar is blinking the color, but i can only play when i strum up.All you have to do is screw all the screws out and then open your controller.Once its opened, just take that silver thingy and twist it before you tighten it then put the head back on.This is a severe fix!!! I have not tried it yet,but this is the only information i have heard online.Im pretty sure thanx!

I bang the controller on the back and it stops. Unfortunately whenever strum down it acts up again. I can only play now if I strum up.
I tried to open it up but I could only get two of the screws out. My screwdriver just refuses to grab any of the other screws. Maybe they are stripped. Yes I'm using the star shaped screwdriver.

Seems like the controller may just be faulty.
The only thing I can think of, is to turn off the console, and then make sure none of the buttons are being pressed when starting it up, and then turn it on. If it's still doing it, I recommend getting a new controller.
