Video artifacts during boot

When I boot the computer, there are strange characters all over the screen almost like a grid. They persist during post and as windows loads. Once windows gets to the login page they are gone. Inside windows there are time when these artifacts are evident. Such as when I move files the animation is not clean and many icons show a similar disruption. I wonder if this is a problem with the graphics chip or the inverter board. I notice a couple of time the artifacts disappeared when the lcd as at a more extreme angle.

It's related to either the lcd video cable and or the lcd.and or the gpu. I'd say in that order.

NOT the inverter. The inverter only controls screen brightness.

Im using asus engts250 dk/htdi/512m dd3,last sunday when i start my pc the screen was all black but i listen the sound that the pc was already in desktop but the screen still black.help me

1. Kindly check the power cable and the video cable mount it properly. if this is not the problem or the power led of the LCD is lit, skip this step. 2. Try swapping the DVI cable to the other DVI header.
In my opinion the video card is not defective, as you have said. your PC already booted all the to desktop, a defective video card would boot to desktop without display. it will boot with artifacts or the PC will hang because of the defect.
Kindly give feedback if I helped you. Thank you for posting.

It is not a driver failure but it is a hardware failure. I have my own fz340e and have the same problem as yours. Now, my fz340e works fine.

Can not get my key board to respond when coputer boots up,

Do you get video at least?
Do you get keyboard during POST? (Try turning the system off, turn it on and keep hitting F8 until you get to a windows boot selection screen)

Does Windows boot all the way up but you just cannot interact with the laptop? Try plugging in an external mouse/keyboard/speakers, or remove it from the docking station if it is attached to one.
If you get keyboard/mouse before windows (able to move up and down the boot selection screen), then Windows may just need to be reinstalled for some strange reason.

If you still aren't getting anything, the motherboard may need to be replaced.

Vertical green line somthing like an artifact

Your Display cable (inside your monitor) needs to be replaced.

I would look on ebay to try and find the part and then take it to a local tech to replace it for you as I would not recommend anyone take apart a monitor (LCD OR CRT) if you had never done so before.

OR, Buy a new monitor.

The two cheapest things to do are, firstly, try your monitor on another persons pc, to see if any difference, and secondly try a different mouse as they can interfere with with graphics dpi.
