Cartridge problems Epson 4000

Good day to you guys,  I have a problem with my Epson 4000 printer. It occured before, but after few intents the problem was solved, but this time it won't do anything. Every time when I run clear nozzles cycle, the printer tells me that there is no ink in several cartridges, but when I unlock and lock cartridges for several times the problem disappears. This time when I finished my clear nozzles cycle, the message of empty cartridges won't go away even if I tried several options ( turn off my printer, unlock and lock cartridges, etc. ). I know that the cartridges are not problem because they are brand new ( bought in B&H a few weeks ago ). I would very appreciate your help, and thanks in advance for your support. Greetings, Nemanja Brankovic Photographer

Where are you located? is it Humid? possibly the chips on the cartriges have something on them (corrosinon, oil from a finger touching the chip, etc) that is interferring with good contact with the wire "feelers" inside the machine. clean the chip with Qtip and alcohol, or fine fiberglasss bristle battery contaact cleaner (hard to find these days)

Why will my Epson wf7620 not print black ink after replacing the cartridge?

Hi. I don't know if your printer is new or old or if this was the first time you replaced the cartridge or this has occurred after several changes. Most if not all printers will have this occur after replacing a cartridge if the ink had been depleted for some time and allowed to dry up in the jets. Sometimes all it takes is a day for this to happen. I have found that I must go through several cleaning cycles to clear the clogged jet(s). So, try doing a few cleaning cycles and see if that solves the problem. Another cause for a printer not printing after replacing a cartridge is surprisingly a FAULTY or remanufactured cartridge. There should be a program on your computer that displays the cartridge condition, cleaning procedure and ink levels. Give that a look over.

Incompatible ink cartridge ho 4500

I have had simlar problems with other brand inks on epson printer a guy in a computer shop were I bought the ink from told me to take the ink out wipe the chip with a clean cloth wipe in one direction, also your ink when new has a piece of thin plastic that now has a small hole in it as you have taken it out from printer put a small piece of sellotape over hole other wise printer will think you are putting old cartridge in again you might need to do this a few times, but bear in mind that this was done with an epson printer but it doe's solve the problem when it crops up from time to time.

Epson Workforce 610 had a paper jam. Removed the paper and now it says a printer error has occurred and to power off the unit. After power off and even removal of the power cord. When turning on it...

I had a similar issue. After ordering a new printer and being told by the epson tech that I need to buy a new printer, I attempted once more to fix the printer before giving up on it.

I noticed when starting the printer up, the container that holds the ink cartridges would move all the way to the right, stop, and then the error would occur.

Eventually, I held the cartridge housing up and forward a little when starting the printer. This fixed the problem, as the cartridge housing was able to get past its stuck point and continue on its journey.

Hopefully this helps someone

Printer does not recognize the new cartridge, but doe show the old cartridge as being empty so it does recognize that one.

Are you using original Epson Cartridges? if not, that might be your problem. The cartridges have chips in them and the printer might not recognise some imitations. Also, if you have recently done a firmware upgrade on your epson, you will probably never be able to use compatibles again.

I have a damaged cartridge chip sensor in my Epson Pro 4000 printer, I have the field repair guide and new sensor, but can't find any info about replacing this sensor- how can I replace it?

Very old question but not a hard job. Watch this video. :http://www.inkjetcarts.us/support/article/epson-pro-4000-7600-9600-ink-bay-csic-sensor-replacement-tutorial-video-115.html
Or, in the field repair guide you can find the info to turn off the sensors. Google "disable ink sensor epson 4000", thats how I found it, I run all my off. DO NOT DO THIS unless you use the clear refill ink carts that let you see the ink level. NEVER let your printer head run dry.

After cleaning cycle ink cartridges are rendered invalid

I've had the same problem over the years and somewhere along the way came across this simple fix: when you get the "invalid ink cartridge" message turn the printer off, wait 10 seconds, turn it back on, when the screen switches from "please wait" back to "invalid ink cartridge" tap the pause button. this will somehow reset the printer and you should be good to go.
