Question about Reliance WATER HTR/STATE 9002564-045 PEX NIPPLES
A three year old complex with all PEX, i can have low hot or cold [mostly hot] in the same apartment. I have found rocks [pea graval size] at washer hookups. If rocks are my problem thay would problubly be were the line changes size [a reduser and or T]
what would be the best way to pruve this then cure it?
Arbor Woods Apartments
That's a tough one. I think blowing out the lines would be the answer to both proving and curing.
I would remove a stop (spigot/faucet) at a low point in the system, connect an air compressor to a high point in the system, slowly apply about 10-15 PSI. Putting a bucket under the line at the low point would catch all the trash coming out and it could be analyzed.
After that it would be a somewhat best-judgement process as to how to blow out the entire system.
Sounds like a sedimet filter on the supply line (post pump) could stop the trash from getting into the system.
