Question about Philips Televison & Video

1 Answer

No power at all, checked all outlets and plugs, called for warranty info, OUT OF WARRANTY, service center thinks it may be the power supply box, based upon my description over the phone? Is this a part I can order and replace myself?

A replacement Power supply unit is probably available however I have to wonder what caused it to fail in the first place , with most things cause and effect is a main consideration .
whilst this new supply may bring your set back to life I have to wonder for how long ?. Phillips power supplies are noted for being fairly robust and forgiving so this makes me think that you have possibly a bigger problem ?. Should you wish to contact philips direct the company is called Combined Electronic services ,and the european headquarters is in Croydon London .
I should also like to point out that repair of the Power supply by a qualified engineer would probably be far cheaper than replacement and quicker . I hope this is of help to you Regards Vortash

How and where do I send my tablet for repair?

I'd think it would depend on a few things:

-is it under warranty? if so, ship it where the warranty tells you to for service.

- not under warranty? go to the manufacturer's website. There should be service info there.

Sorry I couldn't be of more specific help.

Power switch tv is black wont turn on

Sounds like a power supply issue. If the TV will not turn on, make sure the plug is in the outlet firmly. Try to unplug for an hour and then try again. If not you will need to have the TV serviced by an authorized provider. If it is under warranty try calling Sony. If not I would probably recommend replacing the TV as it can cost hundreds for service calls.

Brother mfc-440cn has error unable to print 4f

The service manual says it could possibly be a bad Main Board or a power supply problem, but it always turns out to be a broken printhead. If it's under warranty (one year) get to an authorized service center and Brother will cover all the costs except your time and gas. If it's just past warranty, call Brother's customer support and beg. Sometimes they issue work orders for warranty service on machines that are past their warranty.
If it's out of warranty, I'd recommend giving up on it. The parts are expensive, it's time-consuming (expensive), and you can buy a replacement machine pretty cheaply. lists refurbished, more advanced machines for $90.

TV will not power on. Checked outlet and that is

The most likely the TV has a power supply related problem. The most common thing to go out is the circuit board that supply power to the screen. Commonly called a Backlight Inverter Board.
I can't say it's 100% the problem because I can't actually look at the tv over the internet.
If the TV is still under warranty, go that route.
If not under warranty and If you have some electronic experience, you can purchase a Service Manual over the internet and diagnose the source of the problem and fix it by soldering in the new part. The Service Manual will give you circuit diagrams, test points, and part# lists. Usually, cost under $20.

I hope I shed some light on the subject for you.
