My indesit w dryer keeps clicking and going round , it filled with water but that was it,water still in machine. could it be a pump fault? hjow can i test it? any other ideas cheers steve
We just had the same problem and it made a horrible noise when the pump was trying to work, then it stopped altogether and nothing was happening. We were able to get the door open after several minutes, remove the washing, detach waste pipe to release water, remove the kick panel on front, remove the filter and release the rest of water. It turned out there were two hair grips stuck in the part that turns inside the front there. We removed them and turned it back on and it works great! Saved us at least £32!
Check heater element first, thats a common fault on these machines, loose connection or open circuit, after that check the pump for same open circuit
the rotating of the timer knob indicates a fault, maybe even a setting fault, to try and reset set to off, turn off and back on again, till light flashes, then turn off again and start again
if you do not know how to test for open circuit then the job is not for you, sorry

Washed any coins lately? I had a front loading washer and when mine did that it was still under warranty so the service came out and pulled a quarter out of the drain trap. If you not sure where that is contact me
try and clear prog memory .what to do is set prog knob to an off position where the black spot is then switch on machine the red light will flash quickly then slow down. when it does switch machine off then select program and switch on and it should be ok.if not it could well be a main fault on pcb .indesit boards are not very good .hope this helps.

Washer Dryer means you have a motor fault. Check the motor and associated

I'm a bit confused you posted under Bosch but you specify Indesit, which is a UK machine. The really bad news is you need to replace the timer. the really really bad news is you can only buy the timers from Indesit, I can't find them anywhere in the US. The really really really bad news is they want 117.99 british pounds for them! plus shipping and handling. Here is a link to the Indesit site where you can purchase one.
This a common problem with Indesit washers..
It is not a timer but a programme selector switch.
What you need to do is the following.
Switch the m/c on, let the drain pump empty the water, then switch the m/c off.
set the selector switch to one of the black dots on the dial, which is stop/reset.
Then switch washer back on, if the dial still keeps going round and round, then you are going to have to call an engineer, as you have what is called an Anomaly (fault).
Plz leave feedback for this solution.
Thanks
probably a main module fault but worth while checking for continuity thro the heater and that the pump and filter are ok. the idea is that when a fault is detected, the dial will click round indicating a fault but usually it is the module itself. expensive part. not worth repair
probable cause is just poor water flow from outside.
switch water off.
undo hoses and check not kinked. in each hose, there should be a gauze filter. clean this. look inside the valve spigot and check no dirt buid-up.
put hoses in a bucket and check water flow is ok.
remove drawer and check holes in top of box are clear
