Check the Num Lock key is not activated. If it is, press it to release it or you may have a jammed key.

Have you put the battery back in the laptop? Your laptop probably just needs charged. When it blinks it means it needs charged. Is the battery in the laptop correctly? Try putting it on charge. Hope this helps.

disconnect and reconnect the keyboard from the systemboard. if that doesn't correct the problem then time for a new keyboard.

My acer aspire 3680 lost it's keyboard! The mouse works fine but the keyboard doesn't do anything, it's like it's not connected. Can you help

odd. go to thh control panel-- then system-- hardware--device manager

check under keyboard-- is it there? (you can do all this with the mouse)

I ask because if a part of the computer stops working, it usually gets a yellow ? mark in front of it in the list. what you can try is to "remove" the keyboard if you see it-- it will not really do it, because on reboot, it will reload your drivers again-- remove or uninstall the keyboard in the device manager, then reboot the computer and soo if the reloaded drivers fix it.

if not, it may be hardware failure. windows has plenty of drivers in it to drive any keyboard-- you dont need anything special, so there's no mystery download that your missing.

can you call acer and see if youre under warranty? you may need to send it in. dont forget, you could always buy an external keyboard for 15 bucks to plug into the back to tide you over until you're ready if you need to send it in for servicing...
