Re: USB Connnection won't disconnect

It sounds like the phone has got damp or been dropped try taking the battery out for a couple of hours then put it back in if this dont work take the phone to a repair shop but choose a small shop not  a big commercial one as they will charge the earth they will send it off to be cleaned as you cant clean the circuit yourself this should solve your problem hope this is some help but their is not much you can do as this is an internall error but it can be put right

Wont go into phone mode

Assuming you've tried pulling the battery and booting it again, you could try doing a hard reset on the phone (this would erase all data on the phone), by starting up the phone while holding down the volume up button while turning the phone on, waiting until you get a white screen with 3 skateboarding androids on it, and select clear storage (use the up/down volume buttons to move the cursor, power button to select), then volume up to confirm. If the phone still won't boot up after doing that, you're going to have to take it to a store, as that boot menu is the only thing that you can get to come up if it won't boot all the way up.

I went to do the updates with my computer, and it failed, and my phone won't do anything, except a picture will pop um with a computer and the phone and usb cord with an arrow crossed out.

I would try a boot without the SIM and if that does not work by itself, I would try toggling the volume bar on the right of the phone during boot, as that is supposed to give the hard reset option.

Gz one boulder will not turn back quit on me one day and iv chaged it and it stl ownt turn on

I am re-posting the following answer from a similar question..

Connect to the charger just long enough for the screen to power on, then immediately disconnect the charger before it goes into charging mode. . -- It should power up and be ready for a couple seconds.

I have found that only when the battery gets completely drained, that the Gzone Rock often will not power back up on it's own, even though the battery has been successfully recharged.
By connecting the to the charger it will initiate the boot-up of the phone - but you must remove it before it displays the charging screen again, otherwise it still won't come on and boot.

I am trying to get pictures from my pc to my env3 I have a sd in and still can't figure it steps please.. thanks

Two ways that I am able to do this:

I have uploaded and downloaded pictures from my micro-SD card, while it is in the phone, using a USB cable between my phone and my computer. The cable from my wall charger comes out of the charger, and becomes a standard USB cable, and that works fine for me.

With the phone turned on, plug the cable between a USB port on the computer and the phone. Once this is connected, on the phone, go to "Menu | Settings & Tools | Tools | USB Mass Storage2_bing.gif". Then the phone should link up with the computer, and it should appear as its own "removable drive". The micro-SD card has directories like "my_sounds" and "my_pix", etc. Copy your pictures into the "my_pix" directory. Then, in your computer, there should be a way to tell it to disconnect from the USB device (I'm using Windows, and in the "system tray" on the start bar, there's an icon that you can click that lets you specify a USB device that you are going to disconnect.) Once you do this, the pictures should be visible on your phone. (This is just a shot in the dark, but just to be sure, if they don't come up right away, try turning the phone off and back on again.)

I am also able to remove the micro-SD card, and plug it into an SD-card slot on my computer (with a micro-to-SD card adapter), and it mounts as a removable drive that way, too. Again, copy your images to the my_pix directory, put the card back in the phone (you should have the phone OFF when removing and reinstalling the card, but it's OK to turn it on while the card is out.)

I have only used .JPG format images; I haven't tried any other image formats.

When i update the firmware in my phone,my little girl put the usb cabel from the computer,,now the phone is ded,,what to do. Nokia 5500 sport

If your phone became disconnected during a firmware update and your phone no longer turns on/fully boots up, then unfortunately your phone is likely "bricked" and will need it to be re-flashed. If that's the case, the best bet is to find and visit a Nokia Care or service center. Do-It-Yourself re-flashing can be done, but requires special cables and software which maybe more cost and trouble than its worth.

Unless you've done this already, before you give up completely try the following:

Removing the battery and turn the phone on as normal. Wait for a few minutes until you're absolutely sure it won't boot up. (This is a long shot but worth a try.)

Try resetting the phone using the codes and instructions on this website (especially the last code for your instance): S60 Reset and Formatting Codes

Charging problem

I had this same problem, it's really irritating. Not exactly a full solution, but if you leave your phone connected to the usb for around 10 - 15 mins then disconnect it, remove and replace the battery and turn it on, it should have enough power to boot up, the just reinsert the usb and it should charge.
