Check the following possibilities that may causing the error message.
1. Some times more paper may be taken in the paper feed area, check for any other paper jam in other area of the printer.
2. Remove all the printer drives, ports and uninstall the printer software and once again reinstall it by following steps given below
Start - Control Panel - Add and Remove Programs - Remove the program in the list called Tally Laser printer.
By now you have uninstall the software and now reinstall the software with the available cd given at the time of printer purchase and start printing.
7.2 Detecting Jams

Delay Jam in Pickup Assembly
The registration sensor cannot detect the leading edge of paper within the jam detection time interval after paper pickup started.

Paper Leading Edge Jam at First Delivery Sensor
The first delivery sensor cannot detect presence of paper within the prescribed time after the registration clutch has been turned on.
Wound Paper Jam at Fuser
The first delivery sensor has detected absence of paper within the prescribed time after it detected presence of paper (within the prescribed time after the registration
clutch had been turned on).
7.2.2 Stationary Jams
22.214.171.124 Stationary Jam in Pickup Assembly
0010-4884 iR2016J / iR2016 / iR2020 / / iR2016i / iR2020i
Stationary Jam in Pickup Assembly
The registration sensor does not detect absence of paper within the prescribed time before the next leading edge of fed paper reaches the registration sensor.
126.96.36.199 Stationary Jam in Delivery Assembly (Paper Trailing Edge Stationary Jam at First Delivery Sensor/Stationary Jam
at First Delivery Sensor)

Paper Trailing Edge Stationary Jam at First Delivery Sensor
The first delivery sensor cannot detect absence of paper within the prescribed time after the registration sensor has been turned off.
Stationary Jam at First Delivery Sensor
The first delivery sensor cannot detect absence of paper within the prescribed time after it has detected the leading edge of paper.
7.2.3 Other Jams
188.8.131.52 Door Open Jam
0010-4886 iR2016J / iR2016 / iR2020 / / iR2016i / iR2020i
Door Open Jam
The door is opened when paper to be printed is in the paper feed path.
7.3 Cassette Pick-Up Unit
0010-4887 iR2016J / iR2016 / iR2020 / / iR2016i / iR2020i
The paper picked up from the cassette is fed to the registration roller using the vertical path roller driven by the main motor (M204). The registration roller is not
rotating when paper reaches there, so an arch is formed at the leading of the paper to prevent skewing. The DC controller PCB turns on the registration clutch
(CL203) at the prescribed timing to transfer the main motor rotation to the registration roller, thus feeding the paper to the delivery tray through the transfer, sepa-

You may want to order a Maintenance Kit, which replaces the rollers, transfer roller and fuser, which will basically set your printer back to 0 pages and stop frequent jams also. No need to spend all that money on a new one.
if you open and close the toner cover,do the motors turn at all?if not then the printer thinks there is a jam and so one of the sensors may be blocked or stuck out of position.ususlly this would be one of the main path sensors like the delivery exit sensor at the fuser in the back.in which case you can pop off the back rear exit cover and you should be able to see it or you can pop upwards the 2 clips inside there and take out the fuser if you need. the other sensor would be the "top of page" sensor in the registration area.take out the cartridge and lift the registration flap directly under it and look down in there.
The 'Set Drum" error indicated the printer is not detecting the drum cartridge as being located in the printer.
I would recommend doing the follwoing;
Ensure the drum cartridge locates correctly in the printer. Remove it and re-seat if necessary.
Ensure the top cover (the one that opens upwards to change the drum) shuts correctly, this cover pushes the drum into the printer.
If the above actions do not fix the problem, I am afraid the covers will need to come of the printer. There is a gear mechanism located on the left side of the printer that operates when the top cover closes.
This gear mechanism will need to be aligned with the alignment marks, it sounds like the gears will have slipped and the timing is slightly out.
If only the attention light is flashing then follow the guide below -
The Attention (amber)
light is blinking.
Attention error. The top
cover is open.
Close the top cover.
Attention error. The
printer is out of media.
Attention error. The
printer has a jam.
1. Clear the jam (see pages 164 through 168).
2. If the location of the jam is not apparent, check
the embedded Web server to find the jam
If the jam was under the imaging drum, toggle
the registration sensor to check its movement
and replace the registration sensor if it does not
If the jam was in the fuser area, toggle the fuser
exit sensor to check its movement and replace
the fuser exit sensor if it does not move freely.
if you have the original disc the printer came with, uninstall and reinstall the driver's, that should clear it up.. if you don't have the disc, go to the website and download them from there.. let me know if this helps.. what type of printer is it? manufacturer? thanks, d
