How to turn wireless WiFi on/off Windows 7, 8, 8.1, & 10

This article describes how to turn the WiFi radio on or off. Follow the provided instructions to enable the wireless card.

Solution

• Unable to detect any wireless networks in range Window 7, 8 & 10.Window 8 & 8.1
  
  1. From the Windows Start Screen, search Turn wireless devices on or off.
  2. Enable or disable Airplane Mode to stop all wireless communication. Under Wireless Devices, choose whether to enable or disable WiFi and Bluetooth.
     
     
     
     If there is no Wi-Fi option present, see Unable to detect any wireless networks in range Window 7, 8 & 10.
  Windows 10
  
  1. Click the Windows button -> Settings -> Network & Internet.
  2. Slide WiFi On, then available networks will be listed. Click Connect. Disable/Enable WiFi.
     
     
     
     If there is no Wi-Fi option present, follow Unable to detect any wireless networks in range. Window 7, 8 & 10.

I think its the frequency setting in either u r wifi router or your laptop or both. Frequency should be identical on both units.

i have a problem with my neo m1110..
my neo laptop cant detect my wifi but others like cellphone or other laptop can detect it and they can connect.

To set up your WiFi network, tap the Menu Key > Settings > Wireless & networks > WiFi settings. If WiFi is not checked, tap WiFi to turn wireless on, and wait for your tablet to detect nearby networks. Tap the name of your network and enter a security password, if required.

WiFi networks that are configured as private or closed do not display the network name on WiFi-enabled devices. To Join a closed or private network, tap Menu Key > Settings > Wireless & networks > enter the WiFi network name, security, and password.

first u check in device manager is ur wifi device detect or not, if detect , wht its shows, the yellow mark there ? if mark means u have right onto that then update driver, then install correct driver, if u knew how to install a driver,

if ur wifi card cant detect then u have open back cover see there is 2 screws open that and take out the connection onto wifi card,
and clean the golden lining ,, the slot use rubber to clean that, then fix it back and on ur laptop

it probably cant connect to the dns server of the wifi.
check the numbers of the dns server the college uses for wifi, program them into your ipod(sometimes 'detect automatic' doesnt work on public wifi), then it should be able to connect.
