How to reset password of bios

I forgot password of bios...can anybody help me to reset of password.. Thanks in advance

Hello friends,

If you forgor your bios password then there in motherboard is CMOS CEll .. just remove from it and then replace again at that place then it will reset your password....One more thing you can try...near power supply there is JUMPER Pin ..just do it same as CMOS ...makes works

You will have to open up the cabinet and take out the round battery on your motherboard. Keep it out for 30 seconds and insert it again. This would remove the password. But you may also have to set the time and date once again.

I entered my administrator bios password wrong 3
there are a few different ways to resolve this issue
1. call the manufacturer and ask if they have a reset or a way to get the password

2.look in the manual and see if your laptop has a jumper setting that will reset the bio (including the password)

3 just go to the manufacturers website and get the latest bios update and flash the bios

4 remove the cmos battery leave it out for literally a week (7days) then replace it (best if the computer is off this entire time)- this way it forgets whats saved in the bios

Forgot HDD password? please help?
Boot the computer in safe mode. You will be able to go in and reset your password. and once you are running you can always install your normal password. Depending on the operationg system usually F10 or F2 or on some the DEL key will get you into the safe mode.. Good Luck easy do once you are in safe mode....

Tags: Tech News, Tutorials If you are a normal computer user who has forgot his BIOS password and you are unable to access to your BIOS, then you need a simple way to change your BIOS. Its not that hard because you just need a simple trick to reset your BIOS password.
Open your CPU cabinet after switching OFF the power and then try to locate the CPU battery which can be found very easily. Once you locate your battery you need to remove it once and restart your PC without the battery.

cmos-battery-check.png Note : Once you remove your battery from the mother board, you will find that all your time settings in your computer would be lost, and some softwares may stop working which are based on your computer time.

You need to shut down your PC again and now add back the battery which will enable you the time saving feature and also reset your BIOS password.

Forgot password......windows xp compaq s6000cl not a notebook
if you forgot your password restart in bios then advanced or security and user passwords you can change
bios administrator password i am not sure if you can change or remove if you forgot it

you can also restart in safemode and follow instructions i gave you earlier
