Question about Audio Players & Recorders
The unit will not turn on,motorised front screen opens when power is connected & then closes within a few seconds,Have managed to get it turned on since the initial problem by holding the screen open, when the unit is on everything works fine but when turned off it will not turn on again!!Could you offer me any suggestions??I suspect the ribbon from the unit to the front panel,if you suspect this too,Can you suggest where i may be able to get hold of a replacement ribbon??Many thanks in advance!!
You don't mention what model of Kenwood, but this is a common problem with all rotating front displays.
The replacement of these ribbon cables can be awkward, some have a tension system and the removal of the 'mask' front cover has to be heated with a hair dryer to release the double sided tape.
Only a Kenwood dealer could get the cable as they are not an accessory
