Re: kenmore series 70

The whole cabinet comes off on this washer.  Too remove you need to remove 2 screws in console.  These may be in back on the right and left ends of console or may be in front on each end.  If you can-not find them they might be hidden under plastic end trim.  They are located in front of console on both ends.  To remove pry them up from the inner lower edge and peel towards outside of washer.  Then remove screws and shake console back and forth while pulling up.  Console will hinge back.
Remove to gold colored clips with screwdriver prying at front.  Make note of the position of these clips.  Unplug lid switch harness and pivot cabinet back and off.  The usual spot for a leak is the pump.  Check for stain coming from area on pump where motor shaft enters.  The pump can be removed by taking off the 2 clips.  Also check small diameter hose that enters side of wash tub in back side.  Make sure this is attached to tub.

How do I remove the outer cabinet on a Kenmore 70 series mdl 110 washing machine?

There are 2 screws holding the control console in place. These may be in front at the ends and may be covered by trim which has to be removed. Your 70 Series though may have them at the rear of the console corners.

Once the screws are removed, pull the console about 1/4" towards the front of the machine and you can then tilt it up. That will expose the lid switch connector which needs to be disconnected. Then, using a screwdriver, undo the spring clips in each corner. This link should help. Direct Drive Washing Machine Repair Video Tutorial Watch in HIGH Quality

My Kenmore 70 Series is leaking out of the front

Good day,
It sounds very much like the pump, which is located front center behind the cabinet.
I'm going to add a link. It isn't about the pump, but it shows you how to access that area.
Be aware that the screws that hold the top console may be different than shown.
They may be exposed on the front ends, covered by plastic covers which have to be unclipped, or as shown.

Thank you for using FixYa

Kenmore series 70 squealing and leaking water

First, see the Sears parts site for your washer:

Enter your model number (###.######) and you'll see a list of major sub-components with diagrams and parts.

It sounds as if your pump is bad.

See the following illustrated description of how to access and check / replace the pump.

I got kenmore 70 series. it doesnot spin but it

You have a bad lid switch . This is the piece , the lid actuator piece , goes down onto , in the hole on the top . Try putting a screwdriver into the hole , to activate the switch , to drain the water and to spin the clothes dry enough to remove , until the switch can be replaced .

Water is coming out of the bottom of the washing machine

Tip the machine back and remove the 2 clips holding on the drain pump. Remove the hoses. Then turn the pump over to where the motor shaft enters it. There will be signs of water leaking out of the pump. Your local parts store will have the pump instock.
