Espresso side works, Coffee side doesn't

The coffe side stopped working.  I fill the container with water, insert it and turn it on, but nothing happens.  I've tried re-sitting the container to make sure it was all the way down, but still nothing.

I filled the plastic container with water, turned the machine on, and nothing happened. I have already tried to clean the lines with vinegar, but that did not help.

The coffee side does not work. The power light does come on. the water holder is snug. the spring in water container works and water drains if pushed. The burner is cold and does not turn on. The espresso side works. i took it apart and hoses are connected. There are no burned wires. The screws were corroded.. If there is a fuse I could not find it.

    Any suggestions ?

The last time the coffee side worked, I noticed a lot of steam coming out of every crevice (very unusual) and also the power light kept blinking. I loaded 2 cups but only got 1 and a bit. Ever since, it just wont work. The power light comes on but there is no drip. The machine is very new, just 2 months old.

    The espresso/capuccino side still works.

The coffee side stopped working and I have only had it for a week. Alot of steam came out and it says in the manual that is normal. It still did not work. I took it back and the same thing happened with the new machine. What is the problem?

I run in through after pouring a whole bottle of vinegar where the water goes. It needs to be done every 6 months or so due to build up.

The probelm is that a bit of water has driped down the fill pipe and corroded the electricial terminal and broken the connection. I had mine less than two years and now I have to throw it away. I am not happy

I talked to a service tech who suggested that it was a fuse.  Now I am trying to find a way to replace the fuse.

Can you explain the descaling process?

when removing coffe scum or 'scale' try using a small amount of bleach, or a concentrated briquette of cleaning chemicals especially for coffe stains. CLR works too. fill the container with the substance and generous water past the scum line. let it sit for 30min-an hour. you'll notice the scum lifting. might have to repeat the process, but it is very important to not add too much soap, and try using scalding hot water. thoroughly rinse the container to avoid toxicity.

Does not produce any output after I cleaned the water container, filled it and replaced. I let the machine warm up for about 5 minutes as usual, and then tried to make coffee as usual. I've had this...

Sounds like there is either an airlock or the pump is not working. Try running the hot water cycle to prime the pump, if you cannot hear the pump going then it will need to be replaced.

The machine seems not to be working well

I had very similar problem and found the fix here.
Did you try the reset process? Place an empty cup, insert a coffe pod, press and keep pressing the "Lungo" button until the cup is filled as desired then release it. Next coffee, just press once, it should be now set at the desired level.

Filling coffee resovoir after several days of non use while it has been plugged in

Water typically doesn't go bad in a reservoir, which is a closed container.

That said, if you're worried, run the unit until all of the water is in the carafe and out of the reservoir.

Turn off machine. Dump carafe contents in sink. clean with soap and water. Refill water in machine, place filter and coffee into machine and use as per normal.

Water pump does not work

Hi,

Try to open the steam knob and turn on the button to make coffee, when the water flow out off the steam pipe, close the knob and the button.

Water is not comig out!

You might be inadvertently skipping the following step: after filling the container and switching on, after the blinking stops I believe you are supposed to lift the top lever and ... before putting in the coffee, press the "cup" button for about 5 seconds so that water is primed to come out. You do this every time you turn the machine on, NOT every time you make an espresso. I had the same problem as you did and then looked carefully at pictoral instructions and realized I was skipping this crucial step!

No coffee comes out from the coffe machine

The grind may be too fine. The Brew unit is plugged and needs service. The spout joining the boiler to the brew unit is broken. The unit may be plugged with scale.
