1.may you pls explain how to reach it?
    2. there is no sound of pumping, is it probable that pumping engine! is dead?

    thank you
there is no leaking, no sound of pump, but the light is on and the plate on which I put the coffee carafe becomes hot as usual. the off/on light is working and the light for "time for brewing" never gets on.

Is this a Kitchenaid KCM400 as the heading implies? (often these headings are incorrect -- just want to confirm).

Please answer this: Is anything warm/hot?

A loose hose would cause a leak when it pumps -- not cause it not to pump -- is it leaking?

The hose inside the reservoir popped out of place. You can reach it by hand to put it back.

Clean a blocked line with calcium deposits, how do you do it?

I used a vinegar solution to clean the deposits. Usually you get a failure of the flow sensor but in those cases you will get flow for a 3-5 seconds and then it will stop.

Not brewing

it sounds like the pump inside is bad, from either a clog or fuse perhaps.the pump sends the water thru so thats the likley problem.

Coffee water won't flow

You probably have hard water deposits in the tubing. Run a couple tanks of vinegar through the machine on a brew cycle. Then flush with a couple tanks of water.

Hi, We have just bought a DeLonghi Caffe Treviso. We are not able to get any coffee/liquid to drip out of the filter holder. The problem seems to occur when we are trying to preheat the machine, for...

Sounds like you need to prime the water pump. Remove the filter holder, open the steam knob and then press the coffee delivery switch. Wait for water to flow consistently from the steamer and then close the steam knob. Water should then be forced to flow through the goup head (coffee head). If you cannot get water to flow from steamer then the pump may have already been damaged or it may have been faulty from the start. If water will flow through steamer but not for the coffee, then the group head is blocked. Good luck hope this helps and remember that all machines should be primed like this before use.

Brand new Gaggia Syncrony Compact will not pump water. Red light no. 27 flashes, and machine makes sounds as if trying to pump.

Open the hot water valve, if it flows for a second and stops, then pusi in on the knob if that works, call up support and ask for a new stainless steel valve for your machine.

Briel machine doesn't work

This might sound silly, but are you sure the water tank is well snapped into place. A strange sound does occur when the water tank is empty, but if the water tank valve is not tightly in place, it might stop the water from going through.

Espresso function very sporadic! Sometimes it works ok, other times the espresso function switches off. Also, the cups on the LCD display keep blinking suddenly. Out of warranty too - boo!

Make sure there is no water in the area where the container plugs into the unit on the expresso side. If there is water the water container cannot seal properly and the unit acts as if it ran out of water. If that is not the issue then you likely have a leak in the seal/valve itself and the unit would have to be opened to tighten the screws holding the seal/valve in place.
