Question about Sierra Online, Inc. NASCAR Racing 2002 for Windows
I had recently received the NASCAR 2002 PC game in the mail and, when I attempted to install the game onto my desktop, the installer would not initialize. I then tried to install the game using the prescribed RUN command, which also did not work. I had no luck doing the same when trying to install the game on my laptop and backup pc as well. The game indicates it will function with Windows XP, which is what I have running on all three of my systems. All of these computers have more than the recommended specs for optimal performance of the game. Also, there appears to be nothing wrong with the game disc. It's as if there is some sort of process that isn't being told to run when the installation begins; the install screen comes up, I click on install, and then the screen disappears and the process appears to self-terminate, leaving me with performing the back-up RUN command which basically follows the same pattern of failing to install. Please let me know if there is some way I might be able to possibly get the installation to work.

Have you tried to install in administrative mode? If not, when you put the cd in and it begins to start, click cancel. Then go into my computer, go to the drive that the disc is in, clivk explore, find the installer file on the disc, right click, run as, and choose administrator

If the game is not installing on any of the three computers you have, the problem is with the installation disk. Is it a original game disc or is burned copy or downloaded copy. You can try downloading this software
It would run the game directly from the cd, instead of installing the same. If the same fails too, you would have to look for another copy of the game.

First let me know ...are you running setup in adminstrator mode??? Usually setup is not running in nonadmin mode..... well try couple of shoot on UAC off ( in case of Vista).
secondly explore your game folder and look for.exe and then run it instead of autorun file....Autorun file may be incomplete thats why game is automatically exit...
