Question about Maytag MSD2732GR Side by Side Refrigerator
Click on the link and you will see where your defrost timer and themostat is. without being there to hear the noises start there. See if the fan in the freezer and the fan behind at the bottom of the refrigerator in the back are working and you get good air flow. You are in luck because you have a mechanical defrost timer vs. a computer one but start there. to turn the compressor on and off there will be an access hole to the timer that you can use a screw driver on to slowly turn it to tun on the compressor...you will hear it come on. Leave it there once it comes on and if it cools properly for 6 to 8 hours and then stops cooling again your timer my be sticking in defrost. replace it. sometimes fans run intmittantly so dont forget to check them out...let me know here is the link...good luck....copy and past from http to the end.
