Question about HP Pavilion a400n (DQ173A#ABA) PC Desktop
I have a hp pavilion n400 and had it in a garage for 6 years, dusted tried but it still has a problem the blue power button fashes when I plug it in?What do i do?
The reason why the button is flashing is cause the power supply is not putting out the right voltages and the motherboard can't power on.
Best thing to do is to see if you can try a different known good power supply and hook up the connectors to the motherboard only and see if it turns.
This usually takes care of the problem. I have also seen it where the motheboard is bad on rare occasion. To verify the motherboard after trying a different power supply is to make sure there is no cards in the pci slot and makes sure none of the drives are connected and the only cables that should be connected to the motherboard is the power supply.
Hope this helps and let me know if you need extra help.
