    Appreciate your quick postback.

    Though additional information are still required, preliminary tests that could be done:

    • check connection, cables;

    • cycle through the different INPUTs in the remote or the front panel control;

    • try flicking on the buttons, one may have been inadvertently stuck;

    • unplug from the mains for 30 minutes or so. The idea is to discharge the electronics and force the unit to revert back to factory defaults. In some other models/versions, the unplug time may require even longer period of time.

    To continue further, it is important to know the specific model number; what happened prior to the problem; what devices are connected to it; is the remote working.

    Would appreciate updates on the above request for additional information.

I need to change the input on my tv but I don't

It's a westinghouse......you better get the model number off the back, then find a universal remote at walmart.....it'll give you a cpl different options for your tv....so read carefully the instructions that come with the remote you buy.

I cant keep my tv turned on after i pushed the rgb button by mistake it keeps on displaying no signal and then it goes off

Turn on the TV again. You need to change the input from RGB back to cable or HDMI or Component or whatever input you have a source for. If you don't know which one, look at the back of the TV and the wires you've got plugged into it.
If it's 1 round coaxial cable, change the input to Cable.
If it's three wires (red, white, and yellow) change the input to A/V.
If it's 5 multicolored wires, change the input to Component.
If it's an HDMI cable, change input to HDMI.
If you cannot change the input before the TV turns itself off, try unplugging the TV from the wall socket for about 10 seconds, and then plugging it back in. If its still on RGB, you're going to have to either find a way to get faster at switching inputs, or find an RGB cable and something to connect it to your TV. This is a last resort however.

Can't get rid off L2 message on the recorder.

If I'm understanding this as what I think it is - that's not an error message at all! It's the input your recorder is currently set on (I'm talking about the "L2" shown in the right side of the LED display when the unit is powered on, where the channel number would usually be.) In order to change that, you have to open the bottom flap on the front of the machine (or slide open the remote bottom for the record controls to be exposed,) and press the "Input Select" button twice until it cycles through L3 and ends on whatever channel you last left it on - I think it defaults to 100 if the power has been interrupted. When you press this button after that, it would cycle through "L1", "L2", "L3", and the channel input (or coaxial cable input, to be exact), as expected. I know of no other "L2" message you might be speaking of. If I'm incorrect on this, I apologize. But I hope I'm not and that this simple issue is all that is causing you a headache! Good luck! And by the way, "L1,2, & 3" are the RCA/S-Video inputs on the back (L1 and L3) and on the front (L2) of your machine for various things you might plug in (video cameras, etc.) Note: For L1 and L3 ONLY, you have to go into setup to select whether you will be using the RCA yellow or S-Video jack on the back of the machine for the video of that particular input (with no bearing on the RCA audio jacks for that particular input - they're always used...) - the front L2 input evidently selects on its own between S-Video and the RCA yellow plug, based on which plug has something plugged in. I haven't tested to see which it will select if they are both occupied with a plug on L2. I don't mean to treat you like an idiot -- please don't take it that way - but I don't know how much you know about electronics, and IF I'm right about this whole thing, then I'm sort of assuming you aren't too familiar with them. In either case, please know that I mean well, and any information that you already know, just overlook. Thanks, and again, good luck!

Hi someone i know haas a techwood hd ready 32" tv i cant see for her which button on her remote she has to press to change it back over from analogue tv to digital please could you tell me which...

Normally TV's don't switch from analogue to digital signals in quite that distinction. The 'Input' or 'Source' or 'Video Source' buttons usually cycle through the different kinds of input the TV has ports for. In most cases theres a Component, Composite, HDMI, DVI or VGA (or both sometimes), and S-Video.

Hi Julo

If the unit was disconnected for more than 10 days, AND a change in cpu, then the user preset memory for input selectors will be gone. You may need to go through the setup menu and reselect all the correct inputs to get the optical inputs back up. There may be presets for the tuner too. Get back to me if this doesnt sort it.

Graeme
