Question about Computers & Internet
I have an old pentium 4 2.8Ghz with a GeForce4 MX 4000 64mb video card and 1gb RAM...when i play a game like ragnarok after a few minutes into the game my screen just freezes up, i cant move my mouse and ctrl+alt+del doesnt work either. i tried leaving it that way and eventually my screen (monitor) would just shut off, go black (more like in standby mode because the light beside the power switch keeps blinking). sometimes it would happen while i'm surfing the net and have more than 2 sites open at a time. the ram is brand new but the video card is old, this problem also happened with my previous video card which was a GeForce FX5200 128mb. cooling is okay, i have a strong fan faced directly to the whole open side of the tower..and by the way when you touch the casing of the tower there's a little ground, a little electric shock, but not that strong...please give me some advice as to what's causing the problem and what part should i replace?
I strongly believe this is due to your vide card. It is either overheat, or just going bad. Get another card in and I am sure it will fix your problem.

Upgrade to more RAM...you have 1gb that is not enough at all to run games and all other programs. 2GB minimum
