Question about Cub Cadet Street Sign- tractor lawn riding mower parts
Although you'd think a new belt would do the job, there are a lot of other things that can cause your mower to slow down. I have a Cub Cadet myself, but it is a 1500 garden tractor. When mine began slowing down, I figured the belt was stretched and put a new one on.
If you go to www.cubcadet.com, take your model and serial numbers, you can download a parts maual and a service manual. One will show you what the other doesn't.
You'll see there are a myriad of adjustments to be made. The operator's manual will tell you there is no adjustment. Ain't true. When you get those manuals and have about two hours to spare, look up the section with drive belts in it. There you will see how it's done. Good luck!
