Question about LG LRFC25750 Refrigerator French Door

1 Answer

Fast clicking noise when compressor is on.

I have a LRFC25750TT refrigerator that just recently started making sounds like something is hitting a fan? If I open the door, it stops, but as soon as I close it, I hear the clicking ramp up to speed, and then stay constant. Any suggestions?

Hi, Can you see any frost builring up on the rear panel of the freezer. Most of the time the evaporator is hitting something, it's frost. If it it frost, you your automatic defrost cycle is not working properly. If there is no sign of frost, it is possible a little ice has formed around the fan or even a wire has fell near the fan blade. Best way is to remove the rear panel in all these possibilties and see what is happeningm
I hope this has helped you. If I can be of more assistance, please let me know.

Thanks
Vic

Does not putout cold air and makes a clicking noise

if you tilted it and plugged it up emediately after moving the internals in compressor are probably broken' also if floor is uneven where it is now condenser fan could be hitting a cover which would cause click fan would not turn rite and would cause it not to cool.

My whirlpool side by side refrigerator just started making this loud noise that sounds like either what an air compressor would sound like or a lawnmower. The model is ED5FHE

There are two fans running on a side by side, one is behind the back freezer panel on the side of the freezer side( if it is iced up the fan blade could be hitting ice) May be a defrost problem......
(this fan circulates air from the freezer side to the refrigerator side, as the air is pulled through the coils heat is removed)

The second fan is in the back, you have to pull out unit and remove lower back panel to listen and or look to see if condenser cooling fan is running quiet or the compressor right next to it. Could be this fan blade is hitting something or a bearing going out.......

If the compressor is making the noise you are probably not going to repair it.....

Lastly on some there is a defrost timer motor usually found by the thermostat but not always that could be making noise(least likely) May have a adaptive defrost control board, not sure.....

Hope this helps........

My fridgidaire makes an odd sound in the back as if a fan blade is hitting something. It happens periodically, not continuous. What can I try to fix this? Is it as simple as removing a cover to clean...

Hi,
The bearings are going bad on the fan motor and that lets the blades move too much and they hit...you will need to replace the fan motor.

Loud buzzing noise coming from the freezer motor like something is stuck or hitting...possibly a fan...possibly the compressor...

Sounds like pipe vibration, you will need to take a cover off if there is one to get to the compressor. Check to make sure no pipes are rubbing against each other first, you can bend them apart carefullt, watch out for a hot pipe from the compressor. Also check to see if there is a cooling fan for the compressor, make sure all fittings are tight etc, If the noise is still there call a refrigeration technician.

My refrigerator just recently started making a loud sound almost like a fan was breaking. Is my refrigerator breaking or can I fix this?

If this sound is when the compressor is cutting on or off it's the internal parts of the compressor. It can work like this till it brakes. There is no way to fix it without replacing the compressor. If you can put up with the noise just wait. Or it could be the fan behind the back cover inside the freezer hitting somthing like ice build up. Try to pinpoint the area the noise comes from.

Clicking noise coming from refrigerator

If the "clicking" noise is from a relay on the board or compressor, it's likely th compressor would be cycling on and off.

It could be a fan blade (evaporator or condenser) hitting something. Both fans only run when the compressor is on. This should be addressed ASAP as it could be a wire it's rubbing on.

Finally, the noise could be caused by the refrigerant within the sealed refrigeration system. This noise is more of a nuisance rather than a mechanical failure.

GE monogram side by side built in refrigerator: fan behin Climate control drawer makes noise when it starts

IS THE NOISE SOMETHING HITTING THE FAN BLADE?
CHECK THE FAN ASSEMBLY BY REMOVING THE BACK PANEL IN THE FREEZER COMPARTMENT.

NORMAL NOISES IN THE UNIT ARE A GURGLING NOISE OR THE SOUND OF RUNNING WATER OR HISSING. THIS IS DUE TO THE FREON BEING PUSHED THROUGH THE SYSTEM AS THE COMPRESSOR RUNS. POPPING OR SNAPPING CAN OCCUR WHEN THE COILS IN THE FREEZER MOVE DUE TO A CHANGE OF TEMPERATURE.

LG Fridge making intermittent sound - like something hitting fan

GAIN ACCESS TO THE FAN IN THE FREEZER(EASIER SAID THAN DONE) AND INSPECT THE FAN BLADE AND FAN SHROUD. HAVE REFRIGERATOR TURNED OFF AND MANUALLY ADVANCE FAN BLADE. WATCH FOR SLIGHT CONTACT BETWEEN THE FAN BLADE AND OTHER OBJECTS NEAR IT-ELECTRICAL WIRING, FAN SHROUD, ICE CYCLE,ETC. ADJUST FAN BLADE OR OBJECT TO INCREASE CLEARANCE.
