Question about Dell Inspiron 530 Desktop Computer
The computer recognizes the speakers are plugged in and the media player shows the songs are playing but the sound isn't on.
I have a college class tomorrow online Help!!!
When you double click on the volume icon (lower right down by the time) what does it say? Sometimes when you plug in speakers they automatically mute to avoid extremely loud and unpleasant eruptions of sound. Assuming all of that is ok have you plugged your external speakers into power? Computers require powered speakers to operate, either a/c or battery. They should have an on/off swith and a volume control, I imagine you've tried those? If yes right click on your sound icon and select sounds. Click on the playback tab and select your new speakers. Hit the configure tab and the set up will guide you from there.
