I have in the past seen the earth wire inside the machine become loose and melted due to high out put welding on a machine just like this if your not an electrician don't try to fix it. but if you still want to you will need to disconnect the power supply and remove the cover follow the earth lead wire thou the case and then to the transformer you will see a joint just check that is a good joint

good luck JR

It won't arc without wire in it. If the motor runs then there may not be enough tension on the feeder wheel to push the wire thru. If you had a bad kink in the inner liner it will not feed. The trigger switch in the handle applies arc voltage to the copper nozzle. It may be bad or have a broken wire.

I have a Clarke Mig 130EN Fan Cooled Welder that is not feeding wire and I can't find anyone local to work on it, nor do I know where to go about finding parts. The only Clarke phone number I found...

Hi:

If you are in the USA, check WWW.Praxair.com for your nearest welding store they will help you, Praxair has more than 1000 retail stores in the USA.
If you can make the motor to work just by by-passing the switch then your problem relies on the gun switch, that's an easy fix.

Just an advice; stop buying clarks, it is pretty defficult to obtain speare parts. Lincoln, Miller, Hobart or any other american machine are easier to find parts and are pretty good welders.

WIRE FEED WILL NOT WORK ON 180EN, PULLING TRIGGER ON HANDLE PULLS RELAY ON THE CONTROL BOARD BUT FEED MOTOR DOES NOT MOVE

Check your wire speed theostat (potentiometer), that could be the reason there is no power for the motor drive.

The welder fan is running and when i push triger air flows but wire motor does not run

Check the heat resistor which is located on the circuit board behind the wire speed dial! Looks like a white oblong component and tends to desolder itself through heat on the board! Resolder it back in and it should work again!
