Question about Dell Dimension 3100 PC Desktop
My LCD Monitor (Dell) keep going into "Safe" mode 1 few second after the computer boot up. In this mode, the monitor go blank to save energy. It is like the computer has been idle for a long time. If I turn off and on the monitor, the screen display for a couple second and then go into "safe" or "sleep" mode again. thanks
Try to reseat the memory modules and restart the computer and computer boots to normal mode/then go to power options in control panel and disable the sleep mode option for the hard disk

Check the power setting in control panel of windows. If you have a monitor from another computer swap them and see if the problem stays with the computer or monitor.
