Question about Linksys SR2016 16x1000 Mbps Networking Switch
According to Comcast, my wireless router (linksys WRT300JN) is slowing down my connectivity. I'm currently using this confirguration.
Cable modem to the WRT300-N, from there port 1 to a 16-port gigabyte switch (Linksys SR2016). This is for a small home office (5 computers), with a Xbox and Directv-on demand.
Would like to have wireless option of laptops, etc. Do I need to get a Access Point and can I run that off one of the ports on the switch?
Thanks for you help
Go to: www.speedtest.net with a laptop on your network.
Find your speed. now repeat on same laptop plugged directly into the cable madem.
Do the settingsa change much?
If so, your network is at fault. If not, Comcast is lying to you.
