Have bright lights,but no dims - 1997 Honda Accord

is it adjusted by the light switch left on bright right dim all when lights are on all dash lights will dim thats normal

check for an earthing problem as the elements are earthing out through each other.

check for a loose dirty earth point for the lights. wire not earthed to a pint that is connected back to the battery.

Bad switch.

you need to run another cable to frame of car or fix existing one you have a bad ground to chassis

check the bulb sockets , ck your ground

First, check that the battery connections are clean and not corroded. If not look for the ground wires that connect to the chassis. Check to see if any are corroded or loose. Finally if that has no effect, you have a short somewhere in your wiring. The easy way to isolate it is to pull the fuses for each device one by one and see if the dimming stops. The last one to cause the dimming is the problem. If it happens when you hit a bump it also might be a ground fault in the interior car grounds....good luck!

Your circuit lights may be bright or dim according to how your electrical system was set up. It may dim when lights are off and get bright when lights are on. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dimmer switch is going bad. If you rapid fire the switch they will switch from bright to dim or dim to bright. replace the colum switch.
