Question about Zanussi IZ161S Front Load Washer

1 Answer

Not washing clothes

The machine will not complete the cycle 'cotton' @ 40 degrees.

so can only use 'delicates' cycle @ 30 degrees

the clothes are not being washed..they are still stained and soaking wet when the cycle is finished.

the fab conditioner tray is full of water.. it has been cleaned and scrubbed out..

Please advise.

I have just moved into an Apartment with a Gorenje wi 62112 Washing machine, I have no manual Can anyone tell me what the numbers on the Dial mean What should I choose for a general wash.

Gorenje has some documentation for their washers here: . The numbers indicate the water temperature (in Celsius) for a given cycle. The common choices are a cottons load in hot water (60 degrees). This is great for towels and other whites. The mixed load is for permanent press that can be in warm water (40 degrees). Then there is a cold water cycle for delicates (30 degrees). However, you should check the fabric care label before choosing the cycle.

I hope this helps.

Clothes in bosche washer gets tied up in knots in spin cycle

Are you running a load according to the care labels?? If you run delicate or easy care items on a cotton wash this can happen. Just because an item is 100% Cotton doesn't necessarily mean it will tolerate a cotton cycle check the care label. Also, if for example a cotton cycle is 6Kg, the easy care will be 3-4Kg, Delicate and woollens will be approx 2Kg. Overloading can cause items to knot during cycle. Finally, check that your inlet water is not too hot. Repost if you need any further assistance

A 40 degree cotton wash takes around 3 hours to complete cycle, manual states 90 minutes, any ideas ?

It is possible the heater element is not working, you need a meter to test it with, and make sure you have selected the correct programm for what you are washing as some programmes can take up to 3 hours to complete.
Hope this helps.

I purchased a whirlpool washer (model # WTW5600SQ) in 12/07 and the spin cycle does not effectively remove enough water from the clothes. The clothes, after the spin cycle completes, are still very heavy...

Hi Tim, Check the filter to see if it blocked .. also, take note to see if the machine is gathering a full spin speed, if not, you may need new brushes in your motor

Electrolux/Simpson EZI sensor 5.5 kg machine cycles.

Well I'm an idiot. They did say there was a fast wash, but it specified that it was for extra rinses to help people with detergent allergy etc., but did not give a time for the cycle. They should have said it was the short wash for everyone. I tried it, and it was fine. Thanks anyway. If I ever have a real problem, I'll be back.
