Re: psp video playback

(1) It may depend on the firmware version of your PSP.
1. If the version is before 3.0, it seems that you have to make a directory named “MP_ROOT\100MNV01” under the root directory. Before you put your videos into that directory, you need to rename them like “M4V*****.MP4” (***** means five random numbers).
2. If the version is after 3.0, putting the videos into “VIDEO” document under root directory is OK. If there were no “VIDEO” document, just create one.
Actually if the videos you want to put into your PSP are not MP4 format, you need 3rd party software normally called video converter to do conversion. I prefer to use Aimersoft PSP Converter Suite to do that job for it supports various video formats to be converted. You can find it on:
Hope to help you.

I copied a video clip on my sony psp 5.50 GEN-D (Full), but i can't play it, the file is corrupted, what is the reason?

The Sony PSP can only play .mp4 video files. The file may need to be Transcoded. You can download MediaGo from Sony, once you import a video into MediaGo connect your PSP to your PC. Your PSP will show up as connected in the bottom left hand corner of the screen, drag the video clip onto your PSP and MediaGo will automatically transcode the file for use on the PSP unit.

I want to know how to play music or view images or videos in sony psp3004, is it we need a converter of any other software pls help, which software would be the best if needed to download

You will need to copy the files to your memory card into a special folder.

Music -- needs to be MP3 or WMA. If you want to play WMA, you need to be able to connect to the internet to enable WMA playback on the PSP. You only need to do this once.

images -- no special file type needed.

Videos -- you have to convert these to MP4. The best software I've found to do this is ImToo at the following site:

Psp video playback

Hi. The PSP only plays a limited number of video formats; I think off hand MP4 is one. It will not play AVI formatted files, the most common type on PC for downloading.Check the file type of the movie you are trying to watch, by right-clicking on the file on your PC then selecting 'properties'. It should say there. Also holding the cursor over the file for a few seconds should show you the file info. I am unsure how to convert between video formats, you might be able to download something online that will do that for you.

How to enable wma playback on psp using a pc???

You cant unless yo have a homebrew (hacked) psp, but you can if you find a Wi-Fi access point where you can connect. After you find one go to the PSP menu and go to "System Settings"than "Enable WMA Playback". It should connect to the access point and enable it for you.

Hope this helps! :)

try enabling wma playback in thesettings menu. but if you dont have internet, try buying the "media manager" at a video game store for your computer once you download it it acts as a media player and a syncronizer for your psp.
