My sony vaio charger does not work

Hi

You do not say if this is a Sony Vaio Laptop or All-in-One desktop, both of which use AC/DC Adapters (chargers).

I will assume it's a laptop

Try to isolate the fault.

Remove the battery from your sony vaio laptop.

Power the laptop on with just the direct mains power. If it works, then the fault may be with your battery.

If the power cable takes a fuse, check the fuse.

If the power cable and battery are okay, then the adapter may be faulty and cannot be safely repaired. So you must replace it.

You can buy compatible (cheaper) or original adapters from reliable suppliers at Amazon Market Place (www.amazon.com), where reputable traders supply warrantied goods onder Amazon's oversight. For additional protection, pay with a major credit card and benefit from your card issuer's protection scheme.

I hope this helps.

No Power ON -

It seems to be a hardware problem but you can try this.

Remove the battery from the laptop and remove it from the main power too. Then press and hold the Power button for 10 seconds to release any flea power. Then reinsert the battery and try to turn it on.

If this does not work, you may have to contact vendor for hardware.
