I'm pretty sure the radiator fan on these is controlled by a thermostat and will therefore normally operate only when required hence coming on and turning off at will. It is also not unusual for the fan to remain on after turning the engine off. If you sit and wait a few minutes after turning off the engine the fan will shut down eventually.

Sounds like a starter motor problem. Possibly a sticky solenoid. Try rocking the car or giving the starter and solenoid a hard bang with a hammer.

SOURCE: WHISTLING BELOW TURBO

Its surely not turbo, its is somewhere a hole or leak in turbo air filter housing or air inlet pipe that is making noises when turbo sucks air. check the air pipes wheather they are fitted correctly. Take a keen look at air hose and close any hole with silver tape check the hose is fitted correctly in Turbo air filter housing (if not then it makes whistling noise when air is being sucked by turbo) . Clean all air filters and then give it a go.

SOURCE: Peugeot 206 temperature gauge not working?

it could be a couple of things, first, check the wires to the temprature sender unit make sure they have not broke, as it was sudden this may be it, also it could be the sender unit it self as a freind of mine had with her car i changed that and the one for the radiator switch, but most of the time it will be something to do with the sender unit on the engine...hope this helps

SOURCE: Peugeot 307 A/C blowing hot air

Some garages are offering free diagnostics on AC systems. I'd try one if it's free.
They will then try and sell you a "service" - which is just refilling your system with a can of refrigerant.
Don't let them do this - It'a DIY job - cans available at most car factors.

hi,
some vehicles have a synchronised twin electric fan system that operates only when the AC is turned on, can you manually turn off the AC and see if that changes what you have just described.
If not then the climate air ( AC ) sensor may be faulty.

How to remove and replace cooling fan on 05 bmw 325i

The cooling fan is held onto the plastic shroud so to remove the fan you must first remove the shroud as the motor comes out from behind closest to the rad.this 05 model doesnt have a manual centrifugal type unlike the earlier models its not a difficult job but lots of bits and bobs to remove first though

Sensor on rad faulty, you will see two wires going into a sender on the rad, this is the sender that's faulty, easy fix and cheap.

Rad fans stay on when ignition is off audi 100e

should turn off after time, because of the age im not sure if it has a rad fan switch on side of rad, if so its that, unplug and it will stop, replace it, bear in mind it can stay on for upto 3 minutes after a journey, you can increase the temp to stop this coming on so early.
if no rad switch on newer they suffer a bad etc, please note your colour when ordering.

I just got a 1995 Crown Vic. I had the radator coolent flushed and now the heater blows cold air? It was working fine before this service. Can anyone help?

Take cap off rad when cool enough to do so. Start the car with cap off & heater turned on,(not defrost) and let it run for a while, as in wait for rad fan to come on 2 or 3 times. Add coolant/mix as needed while doing so. My guess is that you have an air lock in cooling/heating system that hasn't been bled out yet. Once in a while just rev engine a little, for about 30-second to 1 minute to increase flow through system, to help bleed & circulation. You should start to feel heat coming. Only put rad cap back on after rad fan has come on after 2nd or 3rd time. Check return bottle & fill it to mark as specified. If that doesn't do it, take it back to guy who flushed it, he should know what he did wrong.
