Question about Olympus FE-280 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Lines Hi, I just bought my FE-280 camera and found that there are lines across every picture I take. You cannot see the lines when you are viewing what you are going to take through the screen but once you take the photo, the lines appear. Is this a setting problem or a fault in the camera?

Taken pictures from the camera in Olympus FE 330 was over exposure and together with some tiny lines appeared.please kindly assist me to overcome this problem.thanks kind regards. nishantha

The shutter flex cable inside the lens is broken. This happens with FE-330 and FE-340 very often. As there are only cheap flex copies available, I wouldn't suggest you investing any money in repairing it as it will brake again, sooner or later. I have repaired a lot of these.

I have a olympus FE-280 camera, I need to know how to date stamp photos

The FE-280 will not deface your photos by scrawling digits across them. However, the data is stored with each file. Just about any photo viewer should be able to show you this data. Depending on the program and printer, you can print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back. Refer to the documentation for whatever program you're using to print. If you print directly from the camera, the instructions are in the "Printing pictures" section of the Advanced Manual (page 29 in my copy).

Red lines

It seems that you have been selecting Panoram view to shoot photos. Go to menu and change the image options and select SHQ or whatever and not panorama. This should solve the problem. Panorama view shows the grid lines all over the screen and it is meant for taking 360 degree panoramic views.
