Question about Zyxel P660HW-D1 Router

1 Answer

Problem while configuring my router.

Yeah so first of. Login in to it is like a epic battle. Its a 30/70_% that im allowed to log in to it via the browser with the standard password. (and i found out I had to reset the router each time i try for some reason. )

Anyway. When i get in and finaly get to change one of the settings, and am about to change the next, it goes to a white screen that says something like----- Object Protected------ Then after that i cant log in anymore. (only when i restart my computer and play the 30/70% battle,)

Then I have to start all over. And ive had no problem with it before. SO whats wrong and how can i fix it.

Just pull the power out to reboot the router. Also note some routers are configured to only allow you to log into them when you are wired into one of the lan ports on the router, not wireless. It's a security feature.

Belkin N Modem Router F5D8636 Im having a problem with internet connection via this particular model. I get connected to the internet for about 2 hrs then it will be disconnected to the internet. However...

this is because, your ISP may refresh the ip address assigned to you for every 2 hrs.... usually belkin will understand the change of ip address and act you case it is not.... you can log in to router by typing (login password: no password....leave blank and click submit...) clicking on restore factory defaults and reconfiguring the router will fix this issue... if it still didnot, then follow this link below and download the updated firmware for your router version (v1 or v2)....
once you updated the firmware, click on restore factory defaults and configure the router for your ISP....

I want to use the router for remote viewing of cameras. How do I do port forwarding???

login to the router configuration page (typically For username/password the username can sometimes be blank, other times it's 'admin', and the password is typically 'admin'.
Once you've logged in there will be a page that allows you to configure port forwarding.
You may want to get a copy of the manual, which will be available from the d-link support website.

Belkin F5D8233-4 router & I pod touch wifi

What I would try is while the wifi is unsecure go on the computer and open up the browser you are using, on your router the default ip address is

type the router default ip address in the browser where you would normally type a web address

    Logging into the Router
You will see the Router’s home page in your browser window. The home page is visible to any user who wants to see it. To make any changes to the Router’s settings, you have to log in. Clicking the
“Login” button or clicking on any one of the links on the home page will take you to the login screen. The Router ships with no password entered. In the login screen, leave the password blank and click the
    “Submit” button to log in.
    Configuring the Wireless Network Settings
The “Wireless” tab lets you make changes to the wireless network settings. From this tab you can make changes to the wireless network name or Service Set Identifier (SSID), operating channel, encryption security settings, and configure the Router to be used as an access point.
Setting up an Allow Access List
    1. Select the “Allow” radio button (1) to begin setting up a list of
computers allowed to connect to the wireless network.
    2. Next, in the “MAC Address” field that is blank (3), type in the
MAC address of the wireless computer you want to be able to
access the wireless network, then click “<<Add” (4).
    3. Continue to do this until all of the computers you want to add
    have been entered.
    4. Click “Apply Changes” (5) to finish.

this will allow only the wireless device you select to access your router.

    Belking router trouble

Hello Wolter, Are you losing sync with your ISP or are you just not routing. Plus are you connected via DSL or Cable? These are important questions. In any event you might be experiencing line issues. Try this: log into your router write down the configuration information (for DSL: login and password to your ISP) press and hold the reset button on your router until it resets (all lights Blink) then reconnect and reconfig your login and password to your ISP BTW the router will revert to the default entry ID and password. Once the router is reset and the configuration has been restored try to use it.
