Question about Cyberhome CH-DVD 300 DVD Player

Can't get "Netflix" disc out of Player unit - remote or by pushing thebuttons on the unit.

Put disc in DVD player, it loaded and then stopped on Warning message and won't go forward for viewing the movie. Remote won't open the unit so we cannot remove the disc - we read the directions and tried the buttons on the unit and nothing happens. How do we get the disc out so we can return it to Netflix?

My CH-300 has a disc release opening under the unit that reads, "For ejection, insert a pin push to the left." Seeing the post date, your movie is really late or you have solved this issue.

Try unplugging the player and then plug it back in again ,then hit the open button. It worked for me . I think unplugging it resets the unit.

You must take off the top of the unit and remove the disc from dvd tray. Take out the screws from the unit holding the top cover on and check the dvd tray for obstructions.if you find none then try to gently move the tray forward through the door and get you dvd movie out. Then check the mechanism for faults such as clogged gears or a broken belt or bad guide rails. You sholud see some problem in the disc carriage area.Try to repair it and test the unit with the cover off, so you can see if the fault is mechanical or electronic. If it is electronic they you should check the circuit boards for bad connections. You may find a bad wire connector or something loose. If all this fails to reactivate the dvd, then take it in to a service center and have them check it out for you. Hope this helps you with your problem.

DVD will not load or play. Just keeps saying loading over and over

This probably means that your DVD player has a dirty lens or a tracking problem or both. If the DVD player has a tray, you can try putting an optical disc lens cleaner into the unit. (Slot-loading DVD units may not properly accept or eject the disc. So don't try a cleaning disc in that type of unit.)

Since most DVD players are cheap, it's usually better to replace the unit if the tracking is bad. Similarly, if a lens cleaner does not work, replace the unit. If the player is under warranty, contact the manufacturer.

I hope this helps.

I can get the home page up on the tv where it says cyberhome. i put disc in and it says loading and then it says bad disc. what does a bad disc mean?

Assuming the player is fine, the 'Bad Disc' display message usually means either a disc which is an incompatible format (for example DVD-ROM) with this player; a disc which is a region that does not match that of the unit; or a defective/damaged disc. Check the discs prior to using them in this player and if they are burned discs, make sure they are a compatible standard format for playback.

This model is not region-free by default unless stated otherwise in the manual.

HOW DO I TYPE NAMES OF CD OR DVD ?

You can't add a title to a disc from a player (such as this). You can only add a title on a disc writer before finishing the disc. (The only exception is RW (rewritable) disc which can be unfinished.) If a title (disc, chapter or track) is on the disc you can display it. Press Title on the remote. If you want to read all of the information on any disc, insert the disc and press Load on the player (when in Stop mode) or press the TV/DiscExplorer/DVD button to set the unit in Disc Explorer mode. It takes about 30 seconds to load the data. Press Stop to cancel the data search. Then use the folder buttons (ALL,DVD,CD,A,B,C,D) on the remote or the player to read the various items. Press Return to leave the folders. If you enter the Disc Explorer while playing a disc, the playback will stop and you will have to press Play to restart (Resume is not an available option).

Once loaded the player will store the data even after you remove the disc. It will clear when a new disc is inserted or you press Load.

The manual for this unit is available at: http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/model-documents.pl?mdl=DVPCX850D .

I hope this helps.

My coby-514 dvd won't open up when the open/close

disc is stuck, remove cover screws and carefully remove the disc, do not force the unit, once the disc is out use the remote to close the unit, then use remote to open and use a different disc press play and hopefully it will work, try to avoid not using the remote for all functions, including open-close. do not push tray in manually.

You're going to have to switch off the unit and turn it back on to make it stop. the disk is either badly damaged or the infra red in the remote isn't responding to the dvd player vice versa. hope i managed to help. goodluck. I've had the same symptoms on the last two Sony DVD's that I've rented. I managed to get around this by hitting one of the menu buttons after the loading message stopped.
