"Bad Track" Won't let me delete songs!

So, i go to play some songs off a CD i have put onto my Sansa. the thing freezes, and a red box pops up and says "Bad Track" so i can't listen to the song. I get onto to Windows Media Player to delete the songs, and it says i can't! this has happened twice. with a whole Linkin Park CD and a whole As I Lay Dying CD. I mean..they work fine..and suddenly they crash! and all i want to do is delete them so I can try re-downloading them.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

"Bad Track" Messages on e260

You have songs that may be protected or the wrong format for your device.
delete the bad song and download another copy from a different source and try it.
This is not to uncommon due to different file formats and protection in the song files
When you rip songs from another device often some won't load or play in another device
especially if they are paid for songs.

Bad track error. songs arent deleting after reformatting and resetting multiple amounts of times.

There are 2 ways to format an mp3 player - if you were formatting the mp3 player from "My Computer," then try reformatting from Windows Media Player instead - I have a "tips and tricks" entry on How to Format an Mp3 Player for details

If that doesn't work, then double-click on My Computer, double-click on the Sansa player, and go to the various folders that it lists - music, voice, etc. Delete the songs ONLY - do not delete the dat, bat, ini, inf, or other system files
