I can't download anything.

Are you using Internet Explorer? Just go to the top of the screen with your mouse and RIGHT click on the very top part of the screen. It should bring up a small menu, look for Menu Bar, and LEFT click beside it (it will put a small check mark beside it to show that the option is enabled). You can show or hide many of the info bars along the top with this method. If you pick one that you dont want anymore, just open the menu again and click on the check mark to unselect it. Did this help?

I lost file, edit, view ,history ,etc; and it doesn't show previous page or next page in upper left corner. What did I do to hide all of this?

I am assuming this is a problem with Internet Explorer. To fix this, move you mouse to an empty part of a toolbar near the top (But not right at the top) of the screen.

Right-click and you should see a drop-down menu, left click on "menu bar" and you should see you file, edit, view history buttons reappear.

Re: my new LG Ally phone.... I downloaded a system update and an app called ThinkFree Office a week ago. I have gone to ThinkFree Office and can't figure out what it does. The real problem I have though is...

ThinkFree Office is an app that will allow you to view and edit files in various Microsoft Office formats. The version that comes with the Ally is a premium version that can handle both the "old" file types as well as the new ".docx" etc. It lets you view and edit your Office files on the go on the phone.

As for the downloading indicator, have you rebooted the phone? Try turning it off, waiting about 30 seconds and then turn it back on. You can also try dragging down the menu bar (place your finger on it and swipe down) and then pushing the "Clear" button that appears.

How do i restore my menu bar

Dear User
In order to Restore the menu bar ,Follow the steps below

The menu at the top of the Firefox window includes a Bookmarks item along with other menu items (File, Edit,View, Tools, etc.). In some cases, the menu bar may be missing.
If you don't see the menu bar in Firefox 3.6,

  1. Press Alt on the keyboard and release. The menu bar will appear temporarily.
  2. On the menu bar, click View, go to Toolbars, then select Menu Bar.

Thanks and Regards Aboobacker S

Totally misses mentioning the f lock key on this keyboard. It could have the print screen key toggled to the insert function.

Can't open Internet Expl (reply)

Try this instead because maybe files got corrupted already thats why you are missing some option. but read it first before trying steps

1. Use AOL Uninstall to remove most AOL files
2. Manually search the C:/ drive for all remaining AOL files
3. Run Regedit to edit the registry to find and remove all AOL files EXCEPT
Address Book files.

WARNING: Editing the registry is considered a high-level tech responsibility. New users or users not familiar with the registry are cautioned NOT to do the next step. However, if you feel comfortable proceeding, then:

From Start Menu select Run
In the Run window, Type in Regedit
The registry will be displayed on the left side of a two-panelled window
Select the folder at the top
Under the Edit menu, select Find and type in AOL. click on find or OK

The Find engine will locate the first reference to AOL.

Delete this file; F3 to Find Next and continue until all files are deleted EXCEPT ADDRESS BOOK-related files

When this process is complete {you will come to understand why your pc is slower after installing AOL}, Shut down completely.

Reboot the pc

Use your AOL install disk to reinstall a new AOL system.

The install is prompt you for your logon info and open AOL for you.
Addresses will be retained.

Again, This is not a process for a novice user. The danger is selecting a file to delete that may make your system inoperable.
