BrianGem posted a great solution back in May of 'o8, I just completed that fix on my own Jenn air, took me about 30 minutes once I got the correct capacitor.
The display board appearently has a weak spot in the design, most likely heat related, (probabily low priced components from offshore sources)
Fix: Replace heat dammaged capacitor labeled C3 on display board, Hard part will be obtaining the 35Volt 68uF capacitor, I'm luckey enough to have a Brother in the electronics design field who found me a couple of high reliability caps designed for hot applications, He does not recomend changing sizes without design review for fear of overloading another componant, however several other posts have indicated a 35V 100mF cap has worked fine for them.
My control panel was attached to the oven with 4 screws accessed from above the top oven door, the panel slid up about 1/2 " and lifted off, Unplug the ribbon cables and the panel can be removed to a convenient work surface. The display board itself is mounted with 4 screws and connected with a wide flat ribbon cable, the suspect capicator is surface mounted to the reverse side of the board, two plastic clips need to be released (gently) and the ribbon cable unpluged. Capicator is likely discolored or leaking, Desoulder it and replace with new, match polarity marks and dont use any more soulder than needed. TURN OFF POWER TO OVEN PRIOR TO STARTING ANY REPAIRS. and good luck.

I have the same double wall oven, and it will "turn on" and then shut off after about 30 seconds. The top oven stopped working 4 years, the bottom oven stopped working about 2 years ago. Both are doing the same thing. I'm interested in replacing the capacitors to see if that fixes the issue. There are 2 larger capacitors (1000uf 35v), and lots of smaller ones. Is it safe to assume it's the larger ones that need to be replaced? The only other 2 matching capacitors are very small (0.47uf 5v). I know this is an old thread but would appreciate any advice. Thanks!

The control panel display light is completely dark but the oven still seems to function ok. Jenn Air Model WW30430P double wall oven.

A lot of ovens use a gas-filled vacuum flourescent display module that takes a higher voltage to drive it. The modules can get damaged or the power supply for the higher voltage (usually around 50 volts) may have failed.

Chances are the thing is only sold as an assembly...While the displays are common in auto speedometers that have digital display, those for these ovens are special with wpecial characters and background.

My clock and temperature display is dim

Hi, this will happen over a period of time and its just heat related. the control panel isn't insulated properly and , there has been a larger than normal transfer of heat to the inside of the control panel where the circuits are housed.

If this is a problem, i recommend replacing the control board. it will fix the dim issue.

More then likely your electronic clock control board is going bad. After turning the power off, you can also try cleaning the connectors on the clock board and make sure the connectors are tight.

Big oops, Millwood. Shut power to the unit immediately and wait a day or more for it to dry out. If it works then, fine. If not, you've got a learning experience installing a new pad.
