Question about AKG Perception 100 Microphone
Akg perception 100 microphone. has stopped working. actually it occasionally will catch some power, but most times not. is there any way to open it up?
To open it look where the lead enters the microphone body you will see a circular rebate surrounding the connector, there are two notches opposite each other you will need to buy or make a tool to fit into the rebate and locate into the notches and simply unscrew. do not attempt to unscrew th body as you will damage the microphone..

Try grasping the grill part firmly with your left hand and the shell part with the Perception lettering with your right hand and twisting gently but firmly in a counterclockwise direction with your right hand. Do not force it as that might not be the way to do it. I can't see any set screws on the base in the photo I'm looking at. Also before you do that I would recommend testing your power supply first as unless the mike has been damaged in some way they are usually a very dependable brand.
