Question about Kodak EasyShare One Digital Camera

1 Answer

Broken Camera Well, I dropped my camera, and tada, it is messed up. It turns on, it takes pictures, but the only button that works is the on/off button and the button to take the pictures. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5634183 is the camera, I've had it for 2 years, so the warranty is up. The setting I had it to before had no flash, so now I can't take pictures with flash. If I could get any help, that would be great!

One of the cables connecting to the other buttons probably came out of its socket. It needs to be opened up and checked 1st. Sometimes maybe there is a crack which needs to mended to restore the reset of the button.

you would have to take the camera apart and probably replace the the screen or reattach the cables for a better connection.

My camera worked for several picture; I dropped it very lightly - I was very cloe to the ground. The lens mechanism is out. It will not turn on even with new batteries.

I don't think there is really anything you can do if the lens is messed up, you can either take it to the repair shop or you'll just have to get a new one. Since the lense is messed up even if you could get it to turn on it wouldn't show the picture right.

Dropped camera, will not take or download pictures

Hi, it sounds like the camera is broken and you need to send it in for repair. If you want to copy your pictures, pull out the memory card and use an USB Card Reader to access your files.

Camera was dropped and now pictures take but are completely black

As has been explained many times, dropping a camera damages it. Damaged cameras do not work. They are what is technically known as 'broken'. You will have to get it repaired.

Using flash freezes up camera

When taking pictures, you must really be allowing time for the camera's flash to be charged
before you could take another picture so that camera will have enough time to rest and it
could function normally.
But if the camera was dropped, then it's really causing those kinds of issues like flash will not work properly.

You could still try these steps below:

First, do the POWER RESET:
- Turn off camera
- Remove batteries for a minute
- Reload batteries
- Turn on camera

Second, do the MASTER RESET
- Be in AUTO mode
- Press on MENU button
- Press on the right button until you see SETUP 2
- Scroll down until you see RESET
- Press the right button to pick up on YES or NO
- Press on OK/MENU button for changes to be saved
- Turn off camera for a few seconds so that settings will be refreshed

Turn it on and take a picture.
When you want to have just the AUTO FLASH.

- Rotate the mode dial to PROGRAM
- Press the LEFT/FLASH button until you've seen the
LIGHTNING icon with the Letter A on the leftmost part of the screen
- Try to take a picture by pressing and holding the shutter button
halfway first for 3-5 seconds and then press it all the way down

If it still does not work, you need to contact the Manufacturer.

Press the power button on and hold it down while extending and twisting the telescopic zoom lens. It might fix your problem. In any case it could not make it worse Good luck!
