I m giving you answer as i got from the live agent earlier when i was looking for same service
from
http://www.ontrackdatarecovery.com/data-recovery-services/
TraciB: We do our recoveries in two phases, first an evaluation and then the recovery.
TraciB: During the evaluation we determine what is wrong with the drive as well as what we need to do in order to access the data.
TraciB: The fee for this is $100.
TraciB: Upon completion I would send you a detailed file listing showing every file we can recover as well as the condition of each file.
TraciB: At that point I would also be able to give you the firm price for the recovery, which would be between $400 and 1800, depending on the severity of the damage to the drive.
TraciB: Average turnaround time for our standard service is 4 business days, but we do offer faster services if it’s something time sensitive for you.

Now before going any further to pay for it plz ensure that you have tried following steps

go to control panel >administrative tool>computer management and finally the disk management
and see is there any unrecognized device try to assign drive letter and restart
i hope this may fix your problem
Thanks And Regards

Best bet is to take it to a computer repair shop. Cost would vary depending on the internal damage. Sometimes the HDD on the inside could have just slipped from the external housing/connector worse case is the cartridges inside cracked.

My friend dropped my Hard Drive and it wont work any more. What do I do?

Hard drives are easily damaged by dropping them onto the floor. There is nothing you can do to fix this hard drive.
Retrieving data from damaged hard disk is possible. There are companies that can remove the disk platters from the damaged hard drive and with special equipment may be able to recover your data, but it will cost you an arm and a leg for their services. The reason for this high cost, they dismantle and remove the platters in the hard drive in a clean room environment and set up the platters up in jig/drive to retrieve/copy the data.

I dropped Hitachi external drive...

If you have no backup and your drive is damaged, that is it, no data.
Plug the usb in with your drive, leave your computer looking for the drive. If windows, it may take some time. If Mac it won't be long. If neither can see it, the TOC is damaged and it will need a computer engineer to try and recover the drive.

How can I recover my files after I drop my external hard drive?

First of all - STOP using your WD drive immediately! If you continue using the disk drive, you significantly increase the risk that the files you want to recover will be lost forever due to overwritten. Every new file or action will take up more "free space" and reduce your chances of retrieving your deleted files from WD. So really, you need to act quickly.

The next step - get a good HDD data recovery software to retrieve the data as most as possible.

The WDXU800BBRNN hard drive clicks about 15 seconds when plugged into a computer and is not recognized by the computer. This is a Western Digital 80 GB external hard drive.

Sounds like either the drive was accidently dropped while running and is damaged, has damaged circuitry, the hard drive has otherwise crashed, ...best case scenario, is that you have it plugged into a USB port that it doesn't 'like'. Try unplugging and plugging into another USB port on the computer and see if your problem goes away.
Best of luck! Hope this helps!

Hi I own a Samsung G3 Station External Hard Drive 2T. It was working completly fine, however just recently its screwed up. I have tried using it on all my computers and laptops.. but for some reason...

Your external drive may not be coming up due to a defected usb adapter, this might also explain why your computer fails to recognize the device. Try getting a new adapter and see if that works

Dropped StoreJet 2.5

Drives are very delicate. If it has been dropped, I'd copy everything off and bin it. You could buy a new drive itself and put it in the Transcend case - saves money :-) It sounds like the drive heads would have been damaged by the drop.

Seagate 500gb Agentfree Making a beep every 15 seconds

It sounds like your hard drive is damaged my friend. Hard drives are very, very dilicate pieces of machinary. The disk is paper thin and any sudden jarring, especiaiy dropping it creates a warp in the drive. Unplug it to prevent further damage. Don't worry in many cases you can have the data retrieved from your hard drive by using this online company that I highly recommend:
