Grab the front of the spin tub, if it moves up and down, the bracket that the spin tub bolts to which goes through the back of the wash tub and attaches to the drive pulley in the back could be broken. Whirlpool however will not sell this part separately, only attached to a new spin tub, which is extremely expensive.

Spin the drum with hand to hear any noise from the bearings on the back of the drum, the drum should turn freely with no grating noise.

GE Washer model # WLSE3150A0WW. When spinning, the tub is significantly out of balance. Clothes have been redistributed to balance the weight. All 4 suspension rod and spring assemblies are in place and...

There may be damage to the balance ring which is situated on top of the basket. This hollow ring is partially filled with fluid which will move to compensate for an unbalanced load. Normally this model would be able to handle up to 5 -6lbs of unbalanced load on one side without significant movement. If the fluid has leaked out it would have a hard time with a slight unbalance. Without some disassembly, it will be difficult to tell. A couple of quick things to look for would be: If the ring still has fluid, you might be able to hear a slight sloshing sound when you move the tub back and forth with your hand. If it has leaked you might see clear droplets that have a greasy feel between you fingers and do not evaporate like water would. That is if it has not been washed away during use.

Washer is making a banging noise when spinning, redistributed the load and got same results, legs are stable and even

It is possible that the dampers mounted to stabilise the drum on motion is defective. The suspension springs can be weak and aggravate the drum to aggitate out of balance.
So check from the underside for the dampers, replace if soft and test.

REPLACE YOUR SUSPENSION RODS. You can get them at a discount applicance parts store online for about $60. Our washer is about 8 years old and has been getting unbalanced on every load. I replaced the suspension rods tonight and and it solved the problem.

Washer won't spin

Try a different spin cycle on another setting if it still doest work try removeing the clothes and changing it to a normal wash cycle. If no try unplugging it for a minute or 2 and then back in hopefully it resets and if still no movement on the unit at all you may have overloaded it causing the motor to wear prematuraly and burn up. This is very common with overloading.
