Black Screen i just got a new creative zen v and every time i cut it on i can hear the music but i cant see the screen do u know wats up

Most likely the video chip inside has gone bad. Best bet would be to contact Creative via their support number. I wish you the best of luck.

honestly mate, i wouldn't even bother.the same thing happened to me, with the multi coloured strips and all, but with the strips i just pressed the scrrn and they didnt show, a week later the screen when black just like yours, but the music was still playing.
But as you said, aslong as it plays music who cares.
i know this isnt really a suggestion on who to wix it, but if it is still in the warrenty i'd take it back to the store you brought it from and get them to replace it(hopefully all the music you had on it is on you computer)

This happened to me too, I think you're out of luck. The LED screen on the Zen V is malfuncional.
