Hi my name is Vortash the bars you are seeing are the result of a capacitor or diode failure in the projector possibly in the power supply , they are usually referred to as ac hum bars .. this is where a circuit that should be running on pure dc voltage is being tainted by ac seepage from another part of the machine .. its also possible with the heat generated in these units it is just bad solder or dry joints ,,, best get an engineer to check it though as ot may damage the bulb and I would bet money on a repair being cheaper than a replacement bulb hoe this helps regards Vortash

Black line running horizontally across TV screen

A line on an LCD, either horizontal or vertical usually means the video driver board is defective or the screen is defective, does it show up as black even on a dark screen? That means a line of LCD "shutter"s is not working and there is a problem that cant be fixed by a reboot or channel change. Bummer.

Horizontal multicolored lines appearing

Open up the TV and unplug and re-plug the connectors to the circuit boards. This is most often caused by a poor connection of the circuit board connectors.

Horizontal line throught the screen.

Sounds like it might be getting too hot and/or going bad. Try it on another machine and see what it does. Also try another video card because the video card could be going bad.

Faint horizontal lines in picture

This is usually caused by a problem in the Horizontal Output section, around the Horizontal Output transformer usually a capacitor or diode going or gone faulty... the line you see are the Horizontal "Retrace" lines that are useually "Hidden" when the circuit is OK..

Horizontal 'pinstripe' lines on all channels

sound like the screen control on the flyback is set just a little too high. the flyback has the red wire attached to the tube. the flyback has 2 small adjustable controls. if you look close enough 1 is marked focus & on is screen. turn the screen slightly to the left & look at your picture. the screen is like a master brightness & if it's up too high you will see what is called retrace lines. good luck.
