I am looking for restore disks for a Compaq Presario SR1303WM. Can anyone tell me where I can get the original disks? I have tried HP but they do not offer the disks anymore.

These folks offer recovery discs for your model (at least according to their site they have them in stock). I've never ordered from them so I can't vouch for them personally but it can't hurt to give them a call.

Hi, same problem here, go to www.digitalmedia-labs.com to buy computer restore / recovery disks. They seem to have thousands of models there. Good luck.

If you don't mind downloading it go here http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/4264085/HP_and_COMPAQ_Windows_XP_Home_Edition_SP3

and download the torrent file for it then go get utorrent to download the file.
I had to do this with mine but i changed the coa to my own after i got windows installed so it was legit.
then go Compaq to get the drivers http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=228&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=447312&lang=en

You will need the Realtek AC'97 Audio Driver Update
Via/S3G UniChrome IGP Driver Update
And the Spring 2005 Original Modem Driver Collection
