Kenwood KAC-9102D Car Audio Amplifier Logo
Posted on May 12, 2009

Car audio hi i have recently hooked up my car with a JBL professional sub, two e-series pioneer 6 x 9 and a pioneer deh50ub head unit. im running it through a kenwood 4 channel amp. the 6 x 9's and sub are powered through the amp obviously but i seem to only be getting sub tones through them. i should be getting the sound i have in the front speakers through the 6 x 9's but like i said im only getting sub tones. have no reason as to why! and when i turn the "sub" off through the head unit it turns the subwoofer and the 6 x 9's off. is there any reason why it thinks that my 6 x 9s are a sub as well? its incredibly frustrating. help me please :) cheers

Most likely the RCA's are running from the sub out on the deck to the amp. You need to run two sets of RCA's for a 4 channel amp. One for the sub out and one to the front or rear channel.

Hope this helps.

How do I hook up a jbl 12 inch subwoffer to a car head unit

The head unit should have a RCA Sub Out. The RCA wire goes to the Sub Amplifier, along with power, ground, and a blue remote wire from the Head Unit. Next, the Sub Amp is wired to the Subwoofer with speaker wire. Without an amplifier your sub won't make any noticeable sound.

PIONEER 300 WATT CAR STEREO AMP WIREING HOW TOO

depending on how many channels the amp is, you may not be able to hook everything up to it.

usually you have a separate amp for subs. 4 channel amp for the speakers in the car, and a mono amp for the subs.

To hook them all up to the same amp you would need an amp with 5 channels. It wouldn't work out right.

If you have a mono amp its only for subs.

If you have a 2 channel you can either hook it up to the rear speakers or bridge them to mono to run the subs.

you need a channel per speaker basically.

Can't fit subwoofer amp leads to pioneer DEH-2000MP Head unit

pioneer head units only distribute like 200 rms or so to the speakers. you might have to find a blue maybe even blue with white striped wire and nick it just enough to tie your amp wire around it. tape it up and see if it works.

Soundstream300 amp how do I hook it up to my pioneer head unit

That depends on which wires you are referring to. High level inputs or low level (RCA) outputs? If you are thinking about trying to wire the amp up to your Pioneer direct, ie; running the power and ground off of the factory harness, think again, you'll fry your electrical system. You need to run a seperate power kit (8 gauge minimum; 4 gauge pref), then run RCA's from the line level outputs on the Pioneer. If you are planning to run a sub with the Soundstream then run your RCA's from the Pioneer's sub output. Let me know if I can help you any further.

Can i wire 3 jbl gto1204d subs into 1 jl audio 500/1 amp

You can connect them in a series/parallel configuration. Put two of them in series and then connect the last one in parallel across the two in series. This would give you an impeadance of around 2.7 ohms. Only do this if your amp is stable at 3 ohms or less. I am not familiar with the specs of your amp. If your amp is only 4 ohm stable you can not do this.
This would also give you half the power on the two subs in series as the power for the one that is parallel. The two in series would be sharing the total output signal, where-as the one in parallel would get the entire output signal from the amp.
if you were to connect a fourth sub woofer in this configuration it could give you a 4 ohm load, by adding the fourth sub in series with the single sub that is in parallel. or in other words, yu have two sets of 2 sub woofers each in series. That gives you two 8 ohm loads (two 4 ohm subs in series is 8 ohms). Then you take the two sets of subs and parallel them (two 8 ohm loads in parallel equals 4 ohms).

If i had a picture to show you it would make sense, two subs in series that are in parallel with two subs in series.

Speakers

Hi Trim God,

I do not reccommend that you push the Pioneer speakers over 100 watts.  The jenson will already drown the car with bass through your pioneers so much you will want to turn off the bass boost when playing some low bass hip hop songs. It changes from one venue of song to another, so I just keep the jenson bass boost off and use my head unit to adjsut the sound to fit my listening prefences. I am telling you man, you will be blown away .  Hook up the pioneers straight to the Channels,. do not bridge.  I put Subs in my truck though.  I used the Pass output to send the audio to me Jenson 2 Channel 600W amp. I drive one 10 inch enclosed JBL Class A/B Sub. I bridged the output of the 600 W amp to the 10 inch sub  in my Z28.  The pioneers never get drowned out.  I did smoke my 2 channel Amp one time. and also took out a MTD 10inch sub. I am talk shooting flames and smoked the whole car up. I think if you bride the XA4150 to the pioneers, you will have the flaming smoke problem in no time.
